Stargate Comics- Anybody buy them?

Saw them and was tempted to get them, but they just seemed sub-par to me so I stuck with My X-men comics.

I get all mine from Forbidden Planet and I live in the UK. I think that's the best bet if you live in the UK. But you can order them from their website.

I went to Forbidden Planet's website and did not find anything on Atlantis or Stargate Comics at all. Are they exclusives or something?

I've got a few of them. I've got the entire POW series, and two covers of Daniel's Song... and one other that I can't remember right now.

They're pretty good, actually. Some of the art is wonky (watch Daniel's hair shrink and grow with the turn of a page!), but for the most part, it's more than decent.

I did buy them. I live in the UK but bought them off Avatar Press directly, you pay shipping but if you order/buy a few months worth at a time it works out not too expensive. Certainly cheaper than getting them from Ebay sellers.

I stopped buying them just before the Daniel's Song series came out for a simple reason. After having bought every variation of the issues put out including a few of the very limited Royal Blue/Purple covers I finally got really peed off. They published far to many variations of each issue and I eventually felt that they where just trying to get as much money as they could. Without actually counting them I can tell you that there are a heck of a lot of variations to the POW series. I wouldn't have minded a few variations but felt that the amount they started putting out was a rip off. Yes I know I didn't have to buy them, but if you are a serious collector then you need to get them for your collection to be complete.

Avatar Press seems to suffer from patchy release scheduling. You end up waiting months between issues.

I would love to get the comics but only if I know I can get them as they come out and not have to wait. I am suprised that most of the comic shops here in Central Ohio do not carry them either.

Try your nearest specialist comic store, Forbidden Planet for example.

I would, but I have yet to run across any comic store that actually carries them.

I think I'll have to try in there, went in earlier to buy some S7 trading cards, never thought of looking in there for comics *slaps himself*
