    Yeah, I saw that too!

Too bad it didn't get more.

I would have liked to see RDA get something.

Enterprise is o.k., but Stargate blows it away!

    Oh well.

I know 'emmys' are big things to win for actors/crew/etc, but i think the emmy judges overlook many other shows that deserve more recognition than the shows on ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX/etc.

Yeah, it is sad, but it's the truth.

We sci-fi fans get no respect since our shows we love are not mainstream.

Frankly, I think we can wipe the floor with ER, Boston Legal (the Practice spinoff starring James Spader, aka Daniel Jackson 1.0), Alias, Survivor, and 24.

I swear, Emmy judges are unwilling to open their eyes to good television.
I am on a mission to acquire the SG-1 DVDs, since I wish to know all about this great universe...

I have the original movie and Season 1 on DVD.

Update: I also have Seasons 2 and 3 on DVD.

I have seen the light! Please help me learn more!

YAY Stargate! Go JimmyT!!! I'm glad they got the nod, especially for the FX in that episode.

There used to be something called a Cable Ace Award (remember Wormhole XTreme!?) for shows on cable, but the last awards were given in 1997 and now the Emmys cover all television. Bummer, because I think that most of cable - even the bad stuff - is too good to be competing with the dreck on broadcast.

              Oh yes!

James Spader was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his role in THE PRACTICE.

He is the only reason that show is still around.

I only saw James Spader on "The Practice" a couple of times but I thought he was fantastic. I'm delighted he was nominated.

Congrats to Jimmy T. and the gang for the emmy nomination for Lost City. Well deserved! And a nomination for Kingdom Hospital as well! Great day for Jimmy T., et al.

I hope Stargate wins this, they really deserve it, Lost City 2 were some of the best special effects on the show. Kind of cool to see James Tichenor nominated twice even if the other one is for another show.

Hopfully Enterprise or Stargate will get the emmy. They both blow away the competition. The thing is, while both shows had great visuals, enterprise was nominated for two episodes, and the episodes that were nominated simply had more visual effects sequences. I have a gut feeling Enterprise will win, even though both shows desereve the emmy. But even if stargate beats out enterprise, enterprise will still have two nominations to fall back on.
