A Dalek used to portray the leader of Dr Who's arch enemy has sold for £36,000 at Bonhams in London.
Painted in blue, silver and black and used as Dalek Supreme, it featured on the Radio Times cover in 1983 to mark the 20th anniversary of the BBC show.
In 1980, it took pride of place at an exhibit at Madame Tussaud's waxworks, accompanied by a model of actor Tom Baker as Dr Who.
Proceeds from the private sale went to The Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The Dalek was snapped up for more than three time its estimate by communications agency Interprod, which intends to install the model in its reception area.
