Those ad banners above are really getting old.

Is there a way we, as users can select which ad to view or simply stop the animation?

As annoying as the banners are, your idea probably will not happen. GateWorld is paid by the ad agencies to allow their banners to load. Whatever the ad agency feeds to GW is what we see. The only time you can interact with an ad banner are those fun little game things. whcih, i might add, have seemed to have gone away. In all honesty, if i'm gonna get stuck hosting banner ads, i'd prefer the little game ones.

I liked those little games. I would turn on pop-up blocker and play them.
