Colonial Economy

With everyone that has occured since the Cyclon invasion, how has the Colonial economy held up? Is there still a monetary unit used throughout the fleet or is it free for all? Some guidelines must setup in order to keep chaos at bay. Has this ever been mentioned in the show or is it just me?

In one of the season 1 episodes, I believe colonial day, Zarek said there was no economy money was worthless now. And i dunno if it was he same episode or not Roslin was talking about the economy sticking with bartering for a while and then eventually going back to a currency based economy.

Sounds right. I wouldn't worry about money until they got back to manufacturing things other then consumables (fuel, food, water, etc.).

Under the circumstances, I'd expect a "From each acording to is ability; to each according to his needs" aproach to work best for the forseeable future.
