Warning Spoilers For Both Season 9 of Stargate SG1 And POSSIBLE spoilers for Season 2/3 of Stargate Atlantis:
Ok here goes my wildest train of thought on ware SG1 and Atlantis might be going:
First up is how I came up with this:
Avalon Part 2/ The Fourth Hose Man Part 1:
- The Ancients left their galaxy because of the Ori
- The Ori are Ascended and use their followers as a source of energy
Hot Zone:
- A Nano-Virus is found on Atlantis
- The Nano-Virus only affects those with out the Ancient gene
- The Virus causes terrifying images to be seen by the victim
Now in Avalon the team finds a device capable of long-range communication. Now as it turns out it allows them to talk to people in the Ori's Galaxy....right...now why on Earth (No pun intended) would the Alterans(Ancients) want to be talking to some one in the Ori's Galaxy? Could it be that not all the Alterans left the Ori's galaxy? And then it hits me:
Could it be that the Nano-Virus found in Atlantis was in fact made by the Ancients in order to Ascended the humans of the Pegasus and the Ori's galaxy? I mean think about it the Ancients most likely didn't come up with their Law of Non-inference until after they Ascended. Now suppose this is what happens:
-Using the communication device the Ancients find out that the Ori have Ascended, but because the Ori are so evil they could not Fully Ascend (but they still are still more Ascended then Anubis ends up being).
-The Ancients also find out that the Ori have found a way to draw energy from beings who willingly give themselves to the Ori, however the Ancients also learn that the Ori are lying to the people in order to trick them into giving them (the Ori) their energy
-About this time the War with the Wraith begins, beings which in a way are not unlike the Ori in that they both draw energy from "people", the Wraith do so in a far more obvious way.
-Upon learning of this the Ancients make the Nano-Virus to completely whip out the Ori's power source, and the Wraith's food source. Most likely with the intent of most of the Ancients Ascending and then have the Ancients who did not Ascend unleash the Nano-Virus on the Pegasus Galaxy and then deliver the Nano-Virus to the Ori's Galaxy.
-After which the Navo-Virus would spread and start "freeing" all of the Ori's followers, the terrifying images are really showing the "victim" a vision of what the Ori really are: Dark evil beings that hunger for power. However before the Pegasus Galaxy's version of the Nano-Virus could be made (In other words it wouldn't have had the "terrifying images" because the Ori where/aren't in Pegasus Galaxy so there would be no need to show the true face of the Ori).
-However something went wrong, the war with the Wraith caused them to abandon Atlantis and the Nano-Virus. Or maybe once they Ascended they realized that they shouldn't go through with their plan, who knows (well besides the writers).
Now some of you will most likely ask that:
"If that is the case then why didn't the Hologram in Rising Part 1 say anything about all this?"
Well the simple answers are:
1) The writers hadn't come up with the whole thing yet.
2) (And story wise) The Ancients didn't think that telling people visiting their city that they where working on a Virus that wass going to "free" them from the Wraith by killing all of them. At which point they (the Ancients) where going to Ascend all of them to a higher plane of existence."
And that is ware I think every thing is going. What do you think?
