    EXCERPT:

    STARGATE: ATLANTIS
    Original Television Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Joel Goldsmith

The hit Sci-Fi Channel series Stargate: Atlantis returned to begin its second season in July. The acclaimed first season will be released on DVD on November 15 and its soundtrack will be released the same day.

When a secret base, abandoned by the original builders of the Stargates, is found buried in the ice of Antartica, the newly formed Stargate Atlantis team is born. The team’s discovery leads to a daring expedition to the distant Pegasus galaxy, where they encounter a primitive human civilization and a sinister new enemy that threatens human life everywhere. The Stargate Atlantis mission is headed by Dr. Elizabeth Weir, a specialist in diplomatic relations. Her political savvy is balanced by the bravado of her military counterpart, Major John Sheppard, a courageous pilot. Rounding out the crew are Lt. Aiden Ford, Sheppard’s second-in-command, Dr. Rodney McKay, a clever and quick-witted astrophysicist and Teyla, a beautiful young leader among the primitive alien civilization that the Atlantis team encounters.

The thrilling, epic and beautiful score for Stargate: Atlantis was composed by Joel Goldsmith, son of the legendary film composer Jerry Goldsmith. Featured on this CD is the show’s fantastic main theme, which was recently nominated for an Emmy Award.

That came out a couple years ago. You can find it in many stores.

Because the Emmy voters are deaf, flo.

I'm excited about this one. I love soundtracks. I've been listening to the BSG one almost non-stop for a month.

The method I used was a bit of a bother, but if you really want to, read on.

NOTE: You have to have a polyphonic, WAP enabled mobile (and even then I can't promise that it'll work).

                              1. Download and Unzip the attatched MMF file (it's a MIDI of the Atlantis theme tune in a ringtone format).
                              2. Sign up for an account at http://www.zedge.no/ (it may look a bit dodgy, but I assure you it works).
                              3. Log in at Zedge, and click on "upload shack".
                              4. Click "Add File" and upload the MMF file you unzipped.
                              5. On your mobile, go to wap.zedge.no and type in your Zedge username and password.
                              6. Scroll down to "My Upload Shack" and select your Ringtone (its filename may have been changed - it seems to be a bit hit and miss).
                              7. Download it (the method to do so may vary according yo your phone).
                              8. Play it. If it works, pat yourself on the back. If it doesn't, then I shan't say I didn't warn you.
