Upcoming season of WB's `Smallville' will focus on `Superman in training'

Viewers of TV's "Smallville" will be seeing a bit less of Clark Kent's hometown and more of other vistas as the series enters its fifth season Sept. 29.

The show's horizons will expand as Clark and friends leave high school behind. Clark (Tom Welling) won't stray far from Smallville: He'll attend college at Central Kansas University while still doing chores at the Kent farm.

But friend and budding investigative reporter Chloe (Allison Mack) will go to Metropolis University, and at some point so will the love of Clark's life, Lana Lang (Kristen Kreuk).

hmm flying in season 5, i much prefered the teleportation ability of some of the other characters come and gone, of course it wouldn't be SV without the power of flight and of course it would not be practical to teleport into the sky when chasing after your enemy who conveniently can also fly just if not faster than he.
