2005 will be the 40th anniversary of the filming of The Cage, Star Trek's first pilot. Below are recently restored clips showing rare and unused scenes from that 1st pilot. Although incomplete, it gives us yet another unique look into the production of Star Trek.

These clips were on the cusp of being lost forever. An enormous amount of image manipulation was needed to restore these pictures.
