The future of Smallville

just food for thought im tired so i will make this breif at the moment, but what do you see or hope for the future of SV?

i for one think its doing quite ok at the moment silly spells and somewhat daft one off episodes concerning dogs aside, its pretty good but after the finalle of season 4 i see it doing even better so what ideas do you have for the future of this show?

I for one really wish the stupid hollywood execs would have held off on a new superman movie, until Smallville finished, so that Tom Welling could have continued the role on the big screen. I sort of felt Tom got the mantle of the big screen Superman legitimally passed on to him by Christopher Reeve. I say shame on the hollywood gold-mongers..! I like Welling as Clark Kent, and I think he would've been absolutely excellent on the big screen too. Oh, well. Maybe there is still some hope.

Season 5 of Smallville should be its last. Tom Welling must go to Hollywood and make about 20 or so bad B horror movies. He may play a gay guy in some art house indie movie before returning to television to star is a really bad sci fi series, and then finally his career will end.

With Bryan Singer as the director, and Kevin Spacey as the star, Superman Returns should be a HUGE hit. Let us not forget Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. She is very tasty...

i will probably see the movie and cross my fingers that it will be great like Batman Begins or Spiderman and not suck like the Hulk and Fantastic 4.

but yes, i would like tom to play the lead even though that will not affect my seeing it.

but on topic: i think that they should end this season, unless they want to show us how he morphs into a total geek . and they should go out on a high note and make everyone wish for more, but know that this was the best time to go out. not when they've lost all their viewers because they've run out of plot ideas.

Christopher Reeve passed his role to Tom and that's that!

Besides! Tom Welling is the biggest hottie ever.
And I wish they'd let actors from the show play their characters in the movie as well.

Yeah, I definitely wish Tom could have played Superman in this new movie. But I'll try and stay positive about it for now anyways. At least this season is pretty good so far.
