the Ancient gene

I was just watching the S2 premier, and I just now noticed that Ford escaped in a puddle jumper. That's only significant because I thought he couldn't operate a jumper because you needed "the Ancient gene" to operate it's thought controlled interface, or whatever. What's up with that?

i noticed that too, but i posted it in another thread on a completely unrelated topic. Yes i think you do need to have the gene to operate the PJ. Ford i assume got the therapy after "Hot Zone" (remember the part where he is talking to becket about getting it after they find rodney survived due to it)
