Is it just me or does Commander Kolya's face make me want to punch him....
to me the Genii represent SGA's interaction with America and Earth LOOK:

Really/Frankly I don't know why TPTB included such a dumb race to be a part of the show....I hope that even if SGA comes into contact with these fools again, they get blown into smithereens...

The Genii are meant to represent the dark side of the SG:A team. Like the team they were just trying to survive and fight the wraith but unlike the team there leadership are "Evil", willing to do whatever it takes to survive.

The Genii's quest for nuclear weapons to defeat the wraith was like SG-1 and SG:A's search for weapons to defeat the Goa'uld
