I went for TNG (although I would like to say post tasha Yar).

1. The Original Series --- Was the original but Shatner couldnt act and its dated.
2. The Original Series: Animated version -- Forgot there was one.
3. The Next Generation -- got better as the years went on and ended on a high note.
4. Deep Space 9 -- unforturnatly I only saw the early seasons since we had no UPN. I hear it got better in the later years.
5. Voyager -- Same as with DS9.
6. Enterprise -- never got beyond the captains favorit sport being water polo.

I remember enjoying TNG quite a bit while growing up. Never cared for VOY (though I tried), and thought DS9 was too dark (so I never even tried :o) But then I was watching them with the sensibility of a teenager.

While now I have fond memories of TNG, I don't believe a lot of it would withstand re-watching. I am pretty sure I still wouldn't like VOY, but I'll probably enjoy DS9 a whole lot more.

But my vote went to ENT because someone has got to stick up for it :p. Though not a shining example of television-making, I just don't think it was as bad as the media made it out to be in comparison to other Trek series.

TNG was probably the most Explorer-type of them all
DS9 was a chance to have a long-running conflict in a series rather than a film
Voyager wasnt ever done that great it is riddled with inconsistencies (and quite a few scientific ones a physicist once said some of the mistakes were like saying that Shakespeare wrote in portuguese)
I thought ENT was terrible from the start and never bothered watching past the first few eps

TOS A good show especially for the 60's. Like others have said though Shatner's acting and the general sexism of the show hurts it.
TNG probably the best characters (outside of Wesley) and best episodes. However the fact that it's basicly 150 vaguely related episodes other than a series makes it weaker than.....
DS9 by far the best series. Characters were good and some great battle scenes. Probably the one series though that is the least "Trek" of them all.
Voyager was a good idea if difficult to implement. It was the first and only ST show to answer the "why doesn't anyone ever move on" question that plagued all the others. Characters were weak and the villains were either boring, ineffective, or both.
Enterprise tried really hard to be it's own show which was probably a mistake. The TCW was a good idea but I don't know if Bermaga had it all figured out. A big missed opurtunity that while Voyager was probably worse makes Enterprise the most dissapointing ST show.

It's a really tough call between DS9 and TNG...
I loved Data and Picard from TNG... but I think DS9 had so many great characters as well as that continuity that I was hoping for and waiting for...

I choose TNG, though I didn't watch every episode (prolly about 70% of them), but anytime I see it, I've enjoyed it. I love the dynamic between Picard and the others and they end it beautifully.
I didn't have a chance to watch DS9 and the ones that I've seen, is quite complicated and didn't encourage me to find out more about them.
Now VOYAGER I watch every episode at least twice each on re-runs. I love the show, IMHO they made the best of the worst situation but not necessarily Startrek style, it could be named other series. But I really HATE the way they end it, Chakotay & Seven ? GAH! where's that come from ? not that I was shipping for Chakotay / Janeway, but for years it was implied and they have respect for each other and suddenly 3 episodes toward the end Chakotay choose the young/beautiful Seven ? that's demeaning.
Enterprise, OY! that was a big mistake to even start watching, it was dull to start with, getting duller by season 2, getting interesting half-way season 3 and get more interesting by season 4 and they CANCELLED it ?! I can see TPB wants to smash it down, it's was too late and too slow for Enterprise to pick-up the story & pace anyway, but given a chance for season 5 they probably can stretch it upto 7th season as other Trek series.

TNG is the best by far IMHO.

DS9 comes second but only because of how good it was at the end.

TOS is third, itīs camp value is just extreme

TOS animated,

ENT

VOY is by far the worst off the Star Trek series, this is the only series were I actually got up and stopped watching an episode due to how bad it was.

DS9 was my fave mainly because of the ongoing storyline and great selection of characters. TNG was good but the moral stories started to wear on me. Voyager had a good set of characters but the storyline was so boring it may as well have been like TNG with a different ship. Enterprise had no hope crap actors, crap stories and so boring. TOS was great for its time the bridge crew all had something to contribute to the show as a whole and I would still watch them on tv. :)

1) DS9... hands down my favorite!
2) TNG... a very close second to DS9
3) Voyager... the first few seasons were rather boring, but once 7 of 9 hit the show it went up big time!
4) Original ST... some very thought provoking episodes
5) Enterprise... The last season and a half saved this debacle from being completely lame.
6) Animated... decent enough to watch.

1) Voyager - Death to C/7 ship! It was great until 'Endshame', but it's still my favourite!
2)DS9 - Love Ezri, Julian, Miles and Quark!
3)TNG - but you can keep Troi
4)TOS - A brilliant show
5)TAS - Wonky drawings but entertaining
6)ENT - A load of rubbish...my fave character (travis) got ignored.

Gotta be DS9. it's just so hardcore. Voyager was the one that got me into Trek, so it has a special place! TNG was....alright. i can watch it but i have no emotional ties to those people. i know for a fact they're gonna make it out alright and it's gonna end happy (the 80's was lousy for TV. great for music though!) It was unbelievably obvious it was made for syndication. wheras DS9 (similar to SG in that way) was made that you had to have at least an idea of what happened before. A much better way to do it IMHO.

TNG--top choice....it did get a little preachy at times, but overall I loved it, especially the characters. Well-thought-out characters with well-realized relationships between them. Loved Picard and Data, thought Stewart and Spiner should have been recognized for their acting abilities---come to think of it, the whole show was really underrated, thanks to Hollywood's sci-fi prejudices....

DS9--second choice, but only by a slim margin....I avoided watching it at first because it was so dark compared to TNG and now I wish I hadn't..... The last 4 years were great, each new season improving upon the last. The whole Dominion Wars story-arc was riveting drama, sci-fi or not---loved the development of the characters over the seasons....

TOS--always a fondness for this one, like the first real boyfriend you ever had....

VOY--for the most part, they lost me when they brought in the Lettuce-Head Aliens (can't remember their names), but there were occasional episodes that I wouldn't mind seeing again....

Ent--so much potential with so little to show for it....

DS9 edges out TNG but only by a little. It was Star Trek's 'Empire Strikes Back' to TNG's 'A New Hope'. Darker, edgier... and stationary, which made character development all the more important. Major Kira is my favorite Trek character (right up there next to Spock) - very complex. And Nana Visitor really sold her conflict. (Although, I must say that Picard remains my all time favorite captain). However, I did think that there was some wasted story potential in the last season. I dunno. Maybe it's because they had so much to wrap up (it was the first time Trek had attempted any kind of major story arc), but I thought it could have been executed better. (I can't be the only one that didn't really care for Vic Fontaine, the holo lounge lizard, can I? And I was really starting to dig Damar and then... *sigh*.)

TOS will always have a special place because it's what got me hooked on Science Fiction television in the first place. I had never seen anything like it before. I remember the first episode I saw when I was a wee thing. It was 'Devil In The Dark'. The one with the Horta that could burrow through solid rock. I remember watching when Spock laid his hands on this 'alien' and it began talking through him. I remember thinking 'this is so cool'. Never missed a rerun till I saw them all and I've seen all the eps many, many times since. TOS started it all, and you have to give it props for that.

After TOS is Voyager. Unlike many others, it seems, I really enjoyed Voyager. It wasn't as satisfying as the other next gen. shows (a lot of wasted potential) but it had its moments. I thought it really took off after the introduction of Seven. Too bad so many couldn't see the character for the catsuit. She was really quite fascinating to me. But I almost quit watching after they brought back Kes and proceeded to utterly assassinate her character (I still refuse to believe that episode even exists), and the finale was kind of a let down.

ENT started out okay (but the continuity errors were glaring) then took a nose dive with all the temporal stuff. Got better in the last season, but it was too little too late and they pulled the plug. What more is there to say?

The animated series was pretty decent. I remember watching it when I was kid. Thought it was really cool that the all the original TOS actors did the character voices. Loved the ep that brought back the Tribbles :)

It was a toss up between TNG and DS9, but Iíd have to say DS9. I havenít watched DS9 since it ended its run except for maybe an occasional episode, but I remember thoroughly enjoying the series.
While now I have fond memories of TNG, I don't believe a lot of it would withstand re-watching.Heh. Thatís the same way I feel about TNG. I never missed an episode even though I was like 10 yrs old when it was first shown, but I just donít jump at the chance to rewatch it now even though it was a great series.

I watched Voyager, but I never saw the last season and still havenít but not because I didnít want to but because the stupid local channel that showed it dropped it from their programming.

Iíve never watched TOS except for a couple of episodes, though at least one of those happened to be The Trouble with Tribbles. :D I only watched the first season of Enterprise after that I just couldnít get back into it. Hopefully it will be syndicated sometime so I can go back and watch at least the last season since I read it was better. Though I did watch the very last episode and what do they do but go and kill Trip. Needless to say I was peeved at that.

Iím not a hard core Trek fan, but I did enjoy the franchise even though it had its ups and downs.

DS9

I loved the darkness of it, loved everything with the Dominion, and I maintain that the Defiant could take out any ship in the Federation. I loved how for the first season or so, they just dropped little hints about the Dominion.

Overall I liked the main characters more than on any other Trek show.

But on top of that, the secondary characters were unbelievable. Garak, Dukat, Morn, etc etc. So many wonderful characters.

Out...

For me, TNG hands down. I grew up on this series all the way to the end of it and into the movies, but that was during my teenage "sci-fi" informative years! :D

I remember watching the original series when it first came out--crouched down behind the sofa so my parents wouldn't see me because it was past my bedtime. I think my life-long love of science fiction came from that time. I knew every episode--I could tell which episode it was going to be by the first 30 seconds or by the title. I remember the long, dark days with no Star Trek and the excitement I felt when going to one of the first Star Trek conventions (way back in 1975) with my little brother. Guest star: Mr. Sulu! It wasn't fancy, no dealer's room, no bells and whistles. But--it was Star Trek! I remember the crashing disappointment with the first movie and the soaring excitement of the second (and best!). Hmmm--is there a poll for best Trek movie? The original series is the giant on whose shoulders all the others stand (come to think of it, most of TV's sci-fi as well). So it pains me to admit that it is not my favorite. Oh it had some great episodes: Amok Time, Mirror Mirror, The Trouble with Tribbles; but it's hopelessly cheesy these days. The special effects, the terribly overblown moral lessons, the social situation of its time--but, still, it paved the way (and I'm not a Shatner hater--I thought he was great, even though I was a Spock fan).

My favorite is Star Trek: The Next Generation. Sure, it had an uneven beginning, and a couple of blah seasons. But some of those shows were just gold. I loved the Inner Light and I, Borg. I thought The Best of Both Worlds was just about the best Trek written (who can forget the twist of the knife when Locutus called Commander Riker, "Number One"?). I loved the characters and the interaction and the look of the show and the interesting plots, and... Well, it's my favorite.

After those two, I just couldn't get as in to the others. I don't know the episode titles, I haven't seen every show. But, it's still Star Trek, and I would take any of it over some of the drek they have on TV today.

I finally got to see Voyager when I moved to an area that was showing it. I enjoyed it much more than I did Deep Space Nine (although I wouldn't mind seeing it all this time--it wasn't always playing where I lived).

I never really got to see the animated series--my brothers ruled the TV on Saturday mornings and they weren't into Trek like I was. I think I saw one or two episodes, and it was really pretty good.

Finally, I just could not like Enterprise. I loved Scott Bakula in Quantum Leap, but he was just horrible in the first few episodes of Enterprise. I'm afraid I checked out after the first three episodes and then tuned in to part of the finale. I wouldn't mind watching it, now. But all I remember at the time was the crashing disappointment.

Um, so let's see, I guess I would put in order:

1. ST: TNG
2. ST: TOS
3. Voyager
4. ST: DS9
5. Animated
6. Enterprise

Sorry for the long ramble, but I've been a Trekkie from the very beginning and I had a lot to say.

It was tough for me to decide from among TOS, TNG, and VOY. In the end I went with TNG. TNG had its rough patches, but overall, the stories were engaging (no pun intended ;) ) and the characters were fabulous - especially Picard and Data.

TOS brings back memories. My father introduced me to it when I was 6. It's the first sci-fi I can remember watching, and it really sparked my interest in sci-fi. Interesting stories (for the most part), interesting characters.

VOY had an interesting premise - lost ship trying to get home, no convenient starbase where they can pop in and take on supplies, having to interact with the natives (not all of whom were happy to see them), etc.

As for the others...

ENT had potential, but it never lived up to that potential.

TOS animated series: I've seen a few episodes. Most of them just seemed cheesy, though I do vaguely recall an episode with a young Spock facing his coming-of-age... I don't remember the whole story, but I remember that I enjoyed it.

DS9, I just did not like.

DS9 - Definitely my favorite Trek, as well as my favorite t.v. show in general. The dark tone was something I'd never really seen in Trek before, and I loved it. The same goes for the long term story arcs. Actually, I adored those. It made me feel like I was watching an epic story unfold. To this day I get emotional when I watch "Duet", or filled with revulsion when Kai Winn is on the screen, or filled with a happy familiarity when Miles and Julian are hanging out in Quark's. To me, DS9 had the best characters, the best stories, and pretty much the best of everything else. I will say this though: I hated Vic Fontaine. Talk about a buzz kill. Once he started singing I'd get bored to tears. Aside from "him" though, I can't think of any other negatives.

TNG - The Trek I grew up on. It'll always have a special place in my heart since I basically had watched all my life up until it ended. I love all the characters (minus Wesley) and a lot of the episodes still move me. Unfortunately, for every episode I still like there are about 5 I can't even watch anymore. I think it's because of the stand-alone story format. With arc stories I can watch over and over looking for clues of what's to come, but with stand-alones, once you've seen that episode you know pretty much all there is to know.

TOS - For the longest time my only knowledge of TOS came from the movies I had, so I never knew how much campy fun was to be had by watching the actual series until a couple of years ago when Skiffy was airing it around 5 at night. I liked it a lot, although there were more than a few times I groaned or rolled my eyes. But no one can deny The Shatner. HALLOWED IS THE SHATNER!

VOY - I watched VOY throughout it's entire run. At first I was interested, but around midway through season 2 I started getting bored. And unfortunately, VOY never did anything to catch my attention again. I watched it because I felt like I had to since it was Trek, but I didn't enjoy it. In fact, I specifically remember being excited every time one of the last episodes aired because I was that much closer to being done with the series. I'm just going to stop now because I could go on all day coomplaining about VOY.

ENT - Well......um.....er.....O_o. In order to save everyone a lot of time and patience, I'm just going to say this: First season sucked. Second season sucked worse. Third season was cool. Fourth season r0x0red my b0x0rz.

   Whoah!! DS9 is in the lead??!! Every Trekkie I've ever met (peeps in this forum excluded) has been a TNG fan; I really expected it to be winning hands down, with DS9 in third or even fourth place. But it seems that for once I've chosen the popular one! DS9 is my favorite Trek by far, and always has been.

DS9 is the best. It had the best stories, the best acting (apart from brooks) and the best characters. It just had so much more depth than the others.

TNG is second. Acting was good, stories were good, but it was a bit soft at times.

TOS is third. Camp but very entertaining, quite advanced stories, even now!

Voyager is forth. I hated the Kaazon, it got dull early. It did pick up after the borg started, but got somewhat unrealistic. Lowest common denominator stuff, I.E lots of CGI battles and a semi naked female. Boring..

Enterprise is last. It was ok, but not what i expected. I didnt like the third season at all, the whole Zindi thing was really poor. The forth season was much better.
