Now that voting has begun, the Awards Team would like to remind you of an exciting new addition to this year's Stargate Fan Awards: the Seven Chevrons Award.
This award is intended to honour those fics that are old favourites of the Stargate fandom, the stories you find yourself reading over and over again, the fics that immediately come to mind when someone asks for a recommendation -- the "must reads."
The Seven Chevrons Award is open to any and all stories, whether or not they have previously won awards. All genres, all lengths. The only requirements are that it must be a story (no vids or poems etc), written in English and the story must be complete — no works-in-progress.
Everyone can vote for up to three stories total: any combination of genres is allowed. If you only read (for example) gen fiction, you can vote for up to three gen stories. If you read (for example) gen and ship, you can nominate any three stories from those genres, but three in total, not three from each. Authors are NOT allowed to nominate their own works for this award.
