The Asgard had not been able to have sexual reproduction for over a 1000 yr.
So Hermiod (even if he is the youngest Asgard) must be at least 1000 yr old.

Hermiod must be specialise in Engineering , but he must have some basic trainning in medical /biology science . For a race with superior intellect and advance medical science , a little Asgard medical trainning could be yrs ahead of Earth's medical education.

Every Asgard must thought about their cloning problem once a while, after a thousand yr,
Thor is the commander , he know enough medical science to fix little Jack, and enough of Beaming tech for Anubis to steal it from his mind.

Hermiod could know a lot .I am not saying Hermiod can do Dr Beckett's job, but he must know a lot ,enough to give Dr Beckett advice in some medical area.
I was surpise when they didn't ask Hermiod for advice when Ford was addicted to the Wraith chemical , or help with Col Everett's condition, may be the Asgard have some treatment forto reverse premature aging

we are good friends and allies with the asguard, but that doesn't mean we know about thier tech

I highly doubt Ancients gave cloaking tech to the Nox as theirs is A LOT more advanced then that of the Ancients (as we've seen so far). I bet the Nox gave Ancients their cloaking tech. As most Alliances they did probably share more then just information...

Don't get me wrong... I love snarky Hermie... but I don't think it's healthy for Atlantis to have him stick his little grey finger in every pie... There's already a nice team dynamic going on... let's keep it that way.
