THE HOT LIST -- The Shows We're Watching Tonight
Stargate Atlantis[New]
9 pm/ET, SCIFI
Look out, Atlantis, here comes the Daedalus! In this portrait of the scientist as one frantic guy, McKay discovers the presence of the Wraith in the warship's computers after two technicians turn up dead. With Sheppard's help, the cantankerous McKay races to regain control of the vessel before the Wraith can wreak havoc on the defenseless city. — GJD
Also:
Firefly[Special]
7 pm/ET, SCIFI
In 2002, Buffy the Vampire Slayer mastermind Joss Whedon stuck The Magnificent Seven in space and came up with this galactic Western for Fox. Its ratings were far from magnificent, and cancelation was no surprise. That said, Firefly did generate considerable buzz, and Whedon recharged the premise as a feature (Serenity). To prep viewers for the film's Sept. 30 premiere, Sci Fi is rerunning the entire series (including three unaired episodes), starting with the sizzing two-part pilot. — G.J. Donnelly
Battlestar Galactica[New]
10 pm/ET, SCIFI
There's no such thing as a breather when there are Cylons breathing down your neck. Tigh may have succeeded in reuniting the Galactica with its ragtag fugitive fleet, but he doesn't know that a pack of Cylon Centurians have come along for the ride! Bad enough, but there's more (isn't there always?): A Cylon virus is burning up the power reserves.
Video Sneak Peek: Want an early look at tonight's Galactica? Watch a video preview right here. — GJD
