Emmys are Out and BSG Wins Big

Well, in a perfect world it would...I'm disappointed but not surprised. These aren't your Mommys Emmys. The award show which took an unknown, under appreciated but critically loved show called Cheers from obscurity to household name is officially no more.

Todays Emmys are a popularity contest, and nothing more. Can anyone really say, without snickering sarcastically that "Desperate Housewives" is better than BSG? I think not. This show should have received multiple nominations for writing, drama, acting...

How sad that in todays world your chance of winning an Emmy nomination is directly proportional to your marketing budget.

Not Mummy's Emmy's, and not your father's Battlestar Galactica, either. BSG was shortchanged.

But I can't say I'm surprised.
