Write him/her into the show!
If you remember on an older episode about three years back, there was a woman on another planet Jack became involved with. She appeared to be with child. Well howabout make another episode where Jack travels back to see her as promised then finds she had a child? Line in the story some physiological thing that causes people on that planet to age more quickly so that this kid is the age of RDA's child. Jack also finds that the mother has since passed on somehow and the child wishes to travel through the stargate with their father.
Then have him/her schooled at the SGC and maybe put them in harm's way for other episodes where he/she is rescued, infected, has magical powers or who knows what. He/she can hang out with that other kid that sometimes comes out. This would also likely require his kid get acting lessons fast.
This would give RDA a chance to spend more time with their "real life" child and be actively involved in a career together.
