    Star trek, section 31

    Once again, showing my sci fi ignorance here... it's a curse really, but having not been able to see all the Star Trek episodes its kidna screwed things up for me, and I dont have sky...

    Anyway, who EXACTLY are section 31 in the ST universe?

    as far as i know, i've only heard it mentioned on DS9, but not real sure what it is exactly.. anyone else have any ideas? i think it may be covert ops (not sure)

          Yep. Except, they've had a couple of centuries to get themselves entrenched, they're a lot better at staying covert when they want to, and they don't answer to anyone. I mean, up until the end of season 6 the NID at least gave lip service to answering to the Pres. Sec 31 has no such need, and hasn't in a long time.
