Leos Mew at Cinematheque

You'd think that an event that calls itself the "Leos" would inspire
a whole bunch of catty awards-type chitchat. But with a good portion
of the nominated B.C. films and TV shows never screened, it's hard to
find a "mew" other than from the industry wonks.
Some of the best-known titles—thanks to the fact that 97 percent of
Canadian homes own a boob tube—are TV drama series. Godiva's, which
only started on Bravo March 16, is nominated for best dramatic
series. It's up against longer-running favourites Stargate Atlantis
and The Collector. Also in the category: the potentially quirky
Robson Arms. The show, which looks like a playful romp through an old
West End apartment building, is sitting at CTV. The programming
department doesn't know when it will air.
