it's just basically a ship, or Relationship, thread that people make if they have a fantasy, serious or not, about a character or object, or any combination of the two, getting together. The most famous is the Sam/Jack Ship thread, and at least there's a lot of evidence in the show to back it up. As for the threads like, McKay/Insert name threads, that's just kind of strange.
