We, the fans make up connections, try to explain things, and fill in plot holes with our own spakle all the time, why not now.

Grodin, Fresh out of, um, Smart school, is assigned to the Prometheus to enhance international cooperation. Aboard he moniters the technology intigration while also being the ships short order cook. Soon after, he is reassigned to the ancient outpost. There, he pokes Drones with a stick, and continues to cook a mean burger. Finally, he joins the atlantis mission, and recieves a new role as yesman, suckup, and his own red shirt.

See, that wasnt so hard...

It was Paul Veroni, the actor. It was not Peter Grodin.

A). The character in Grace was part of the US Air Foce - Grodin isn't.
B). The character in Grace had an American accent - Grodin is British.

I've already rewritten or deleted much of Grace in my head to fit what I wanted, so as far as I'm concerned there was no USAF uniform, and Grodin was speaking with an American accent so that the Yanks on the ship could understand him better.

I liked Grodin, I'll miss him, so one extra ep, however small is appreciated.

This reminds me of the actor who portrays tuvok (in star trek ) been on the movie generations as a human, but later on playing a vulcan on voyager....it was all in the ears.

I noticed that, I had to rewind and pause it, just to make sure.

Not the same character though. At first I thought they might be going for some sort of continuity, but he has an american accent and the uniform, so, alas, he is not Grodin.
