Wraith gong to Earth?

Why is that they are worried about the wraith getting to Earth? I mean they can only keep a worm hole open to Earth for a millisecond. Even if the wraith somehow had a zpm and where able to dial earth and keep a wormhole open wouldnt the irs on earth just stop them and then earth could dail atlantis and throw a bunch of nukes thru and blow the shat out of the wraith.

If the wraith acquire the knowledge and technology of the Ancients the iris itself wouldn't be able to do a darn thing at all to stop them.

ok ill take that. How will the wraith dial earth in the first place?

if we can manually dial a gate, i'm suer the wraith could as well.


well, in the seige part 1, we learn that the hyperdrive of atlantis may remain intact if the self-destruct goes off, and from that, the wraith could engineer an hyperdrive of their own and, in the words of o'neill "get here the old- fashioned way".

Zelenka wasn't worried about the Wraith getting the gate, he was worried about them getting the inter stellar engines on Atlantis.

The Wraith will just fly here and then the fun would begin. Also isn't there some kind of thing that allows the Atlantis team to dial Earth (ie: memory crystal/chip). I thought that without that the Wraith wouldn't even be able to dial Earth anyway.

I think it's just that the Wraith would learn where earth is not specifically that they would be able to get at them through the gate.
