How about "Sci-Fi Magazine"....thought of it myself, AND its not taken.

      Sarcasm aside, how about?

Sci-fi Xtreme! The magazine about all things sci-fi

I've heard that magazines with an "X" in the title sell better......

          how about

          Sci-fi to anime no jidouhanbaiki

it means "sci-fi and anime vending machine"

it makes no sense...but neither does half the stuff written in english that comes from japan.

Jonas: What about pass the mayo?

utsukushii imeeji ni yoru kuusoukagaku shousetsu

though shousetsu means novel *er...sorta*, so i guess you'd probably want to leave that off...

you could also say utsukushii imeeji ni yoru sci-fi

Since it's an ENGLISH project, the title should probably be in English. More or less.

that's true...but angsty_otaku is writing about anime..which is for the most part japanese...

hmm...tough one huh =) could always put the title in english underneath i guess =)

or maybe put the title in swahili...the teacher wouldnt suspect that!

That's why I said, "more or less". I really do think that something with "Otaku" in the title would be appropriate. It isn't totally common, but it's known enough for ME to know its meaning, and I hate anime.

aww what about anime do you hate may i ask? do you hate all anime? or are you just not an animation fan in general? *which is understandable...i have lots of friends who arent into animation in general*

as for the term otaku...in japanese otaku means house...but otaku actually can be a negative term...while it's other meaning in japanese means "nerd" or "geek" it can have very very very very bad connotations...

Well, I'm only familiar with the "geek" translation.

I just don't like the style of anime. Or most of the stories. I've heard that Voltron is anime, and if so, that was one of my fave toons growing up, but as a general rule, I just don't care for it. I've seen Bubblegum Crisis and Ghost in the Shell and even Princess Mononoke didn't do much for me. I did like Spirited Away, but even that found my attention wandering a few times.

Guess I'm just a typical American with the attention span of a gnat.

Yeah i'll admit that alot of the stories in anime are a bit slow or subtle for my tastes...

sometimes i just want some butt kicking fun!

that's why i love stargate...its so absolutely direct you cant possibly get bored! okay well you can...but not really...there are a couple episodes that bore me but that's just a few!

hey, as long as you gave it a shot =) there's nothing wrong with not liking anime!
