    SG-1 Song Lyrics

    Thought I'd bring this over from Delphi Forums, because people seemed to
    have some fun with the topic.

    I'll post some of my lyrics for Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music.
    Others posted lyrics, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to copy them. :.(

    So if you are here and know who you are, feel free to repost those songs!

    If by "fond" you mean droolworthy, hummable, coma-causing, breath-stealing, lustful, libidinous
    appreciation of the First Hussy Magnitude for Jack & his splendid, dirty, sweaty, sun-kissed, lithe-fingered,
    full-bottom-lipped, lickable-eared, agile-tongued, long-necked, silver-haired, gracefully moving body
    in all its fantasmagorical glory, then--- yes. I am also "fond." -- OzGirl

    (Colonel O'Neill gets nostalgic while laid up in the infirmary,
    pondering being missing from several episodes

    -- To the tune of Over the Rainbow --

    Some-where at the end of a wormhole,
    Real dangers lie,
    If Car-ter can go through the stargate,
    Why the Sam hill can't I?

    Some-where on Go-a'uld spaceships,
    Ba'al hammers Yu,
    If Teal'c gets to staff blast those snake-heads,
    Why can't I zat them, too?

    Someday I'll crawl out of this bed,
    After the doc sews up my head,
    And fixes my kneeeeeee --
    I'll get C4, a P90...
    Just go down to the armory...
    That's where you'll fi-i-ind me!

    Some-where on some hostile planet,
    Dan-iel is toast...
    For him I'll endure any pain stick --
    But don't make me be a host!

    If Carter, T, and Daniel go
    Through the stargate on every show,
    Then why, freakin' why...can't...I??

    (OK, I took liberties with the meter of the last part,
    making it a bit too long by one phrase, but hey, I'm
    no composer!) ;-)

      (To the tune of My Favorite Things)

      Carter:
      "Wormholes and sunspots and e-vent horizons,
      Deep space telemetry, planets with two suns,
      The physics of stargates and transporter rings,
      These are a few of my favorite things!"
      ----------------------------------

      (To the tune of Edelweiss)

      O'Neill:
      "Guinness beer, Guinness beer,
      Every evening it greets me,
      Tastes so good, better than food,
      If you don't like it, well - eat me!"
      ----------------------------------

      (Do, re, mi)
      Daniel:
      "D'oh!" says Jack when he plays dumb;
      Clay - some artifacts I've found;
      Me - the one who translates things;
      Ka - a common Unas sound.

      Glow - Can't do it since I'm back;
      Ra - the Sun God who's now dead;
      T - what Teal'c is called by Jack;
      And that brings us back to "D'oh!"
      ----------------------------------

      I can picture Jack thinking about the last 7 years while
      sitting up on a hill, clutching his P90 on watch under a starry sky,
      and he's crooning (to the refrain of "Something Good"):

      "Nothing comes from snakeheads,
      nothing ever could...
      against those Go-a'uld -- rat bas****s --
      I must have done
      some-thing good."

      Poignant, isn't it? ;-)

          Uh! You beat me to it!

          Here's my little tid-bit to 'Tomorrow' from Annie (still have to finish it):

          Oh, were gonna find them, tomorrow
          Bet your dialin' 'gate that tomorrow,
          We'll meet the Furlings.
          -------------------------------------------------------------
          Here's something to the tune of "I'm a Believer" from the Monkeys:

          I thought Ra was truely a real god,
          Until someone came and nuked his face.
          What's the use in wonderin'? Then I served Apophis,
          but then the same someone came and killed him twice....

          And then I saw the light,
          off of Jack's P90.
          Not a trace,
          of loyality in my mind.
          I'm a free, Jaffa.
          I know the truth, I no longer could worship them, if I tried.
          Dark Helmet: So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
          Dark Helmet: No, it's not what you think. It's much, much worse!

          Col. Sandurz: Prepare for light speed.
          Dark Helmet: No, no, light speed is too slow.
          Col. Sandurz: Light speed too slow?
          Dark Helmet: Yes, we'll have to go right to...Ludicrous speed!
          Col. Sandurz:Ludicrous speed! Sir, we've never gone that fast before. I don't think the ship can take it.
          Dark Helmet: What's the matter, Colonel Sandurz...CHICKEN?!

            Hahahahahahaha! The Furlings... awesome!

            I like your "I'm a Believer" parody, too -- I'm a free Jaffa, indeed!
            (Maybe it's "I'm NOT a Believer".)

                Thanks I have some other stuff somewhere, but I can't remember them. Whe I get sometime later I'll have to find where I wrote them down on.

                    [QUOTE=OzGirl](To the tune of My Favorite Things)

                    Ha now this is good stuff. I can just imagine Carter romping around rolling hills and sickly sweet green valleys in Julie Andrews' frock, chirruping ditties about Ancient technology and deep space studies. Good one.
                    Sheppard: And a nice Delorean...
                    McKay: Oh please, dont even get me started on that movie.
                    Sheppard: I like that movie!
