So in last nights ep, we heard Jacob and Sam talking about some events, and in there somewhere were several refernces to something that happened four years earlier that should've supposedly killed Jacob or something like that. To what were they refering? When they discovered Jacob had cancer, that was 6 years earlier, right before they met the tok'ra. Anyone care to enlighten?

In Secrets, Jacob was expected to live another 6-8 months. In Tok'Ra it made incredibly clear he was at deaths door.

Actually no. In Tok'ra part 1 or 2 the Doctor said he had anywhere from 5 mins to 5 days. Meaning that he was at death's door.

Its not really a continuity error unless the writers clarify or mention later or in an interview he was refering to his cancer. He could simply be refering to some event that occured that long ago. Remember even though the continuing story goes on......there are missions and events taht occur that the story tellers dont give us. Sometimes we get those puzzle pieces later sometimes we do not.

I've actually been developing this list over a couple of years... basically by jotting down chronological references that I happen to notice whenever I watch an episode. And since Sci Fi re-airs each episode an inordinate number of times... Not to difficult.

I was partly inspired as I work with a group that developed the Pocket Books Star Trek Books timeline. I just figured, someone has got to do the Stargate universe at some point.
