SFX Magazine # 129 - SGA Cast Interviews

    From an SFX Magazine e-mail:

ISSUE 129 - ON SALE THURSDAY 17 MARCH

    STARGATE ATLANTIS

SFX was on set again during the filming of the penultimate episode of season one. We chatted to, ooh, loads of people: Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, Tori Higginson and Rachel Luttrell, as well as the production designer, art director and FX supervisor.

    FREE DOUBLE-SIDED A1 POSTER!

Choose which side to blue-tac on your wall! On one side: exclusive new Doctor Who art by the legendary Chris Achilleos (who did loads of Who book covers). On t'other: the cast of Stargate Atlantis.

    Plus...

    DOCTOR WHO
Downloaded it yet? Good, innit? (we went to the press screening...). Our eight-page feature includes more chat with Who supremo Russell T Davies. Plus, we talk to writers Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the man who designed the TARDIS, and the chaps behind the CGI effects and monsters. Best of all, there's a gorgeous two-page spread of a close-up of the TARDIS console! It looks brilliant!

    ENTERPRISE
The Star Trek spin-off has finally been cancelled. We were on set just a couple of days before the axe officially fell, during the making of the Mirror Universe story "In A Mirror Darkly" (yes - that means Jolene Blalock in a tiny miniskirt! Wahoo!). We were in a perfect position to observe the gloom of the cast, and ask, "What went wrong?".
    CLONE WARS
The inside word on the animated Star Wars series (new episodes are on Toonami very soon!) from creator Genndy Tartakovsky.

    LOOK WHO'S STALKING
In our new celeb-baiting regular, we discover that one of Anthony Stewart Head's supply teachers once appeared in Mayfair. I bet that was a well-thumbed copy...

    TIME MACHINE
In our retrospective feature, we look back at the making of Nicolas Roeg's 1973 chiller Don't Look Now.

    SPOILER ZONE
In-depth reviews of all the latest episodes of Alias, Carnivale, Charmed, Lost, Medium, Point Pleasant, Smallville and Star Trek: Enterprise.

    COUCH POTATO
The team gather on the sofa again to watch the final episodes of series like Blake's 7, Angel and The Prisoner.

    Plus!
Nick Stahl - Ben Hawkins from Carnivale.
Ian R MacLeod - author of alternate histories.
Great new photos from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and War Of The Worlds!

..and all the latest news and reviews!

Oh, cool. Can you describe the poster? Is it a cast photo, something similar to what we've seen over at GateWorld? Something new?

        Thanks!

We get the magazine here in England tommorow. I'm eagerly awaiting it. The interview with Torri in number 128 was great. Can't wait to read the interviews in the new one!

L-R: Rodney, Teyla arms folded, Shep standing sideways (looking forwards), weir, Ford. In the background is a little Dart and a little wraith face, and in front sweeping top right to bottom left is the curve of the stargate, quite large.

bottom left is pic of the DVD. Very nice poster, but folded into eight.

The Doctor Who poster is a bit naff, but it has Autons in. I like Autons.
