Ponderings about Origin and the Ark of Truth

Ok, from what I know about the Ori, Origin was developed as a religion *after* their ascension. They created it so they could siphon power from the next evolution of humanity they created (just as the Ancients created their next evolution of humanity in the Milky Way and Pegasus).

So what were the Ori doing when they and the Ancients were still human? Orlin said they became more fervant in their religious beliefs, while the Ancients believed in science. We also know that the Ori tried to wipe the Ancients out, which resulted in them leaving their galaxy. But then Merlin said the Ori had good intentions when they started. Also, the Ark of Truth was made to combat the Ori when they were still human. Just what were their beliefs, that caused them to go to war with the Ancients? I suppose it's possible that Origin was a modification of the beliefs the Ori had before their ascension?

So what was it that they believed that the Ark of Truth would've changed? We see SG-1 use it against the Priors to turn them away from Origin, but as said before, Origin wasn't created until AFTER their ascension (LONG after the Ark was built). So what was the "truth" that it showed? And what WAS the religion of the Ori before their ascension? The Ark doing what it did, would only make sense if it was made AFTER the Ori's ascension and creation of Origin. But we know it was made long before that.

Origin *as a religion* was made to siphon power from believers. But the underlying ideas were long present before that. The most fundamental of their beliefs is that the end justifies the means (even changing the interpretation of the book of Origin on the fly to fit their needs)and that Might makes Right.

The dispute was that the Ori believed that as superior beings they should interfere with humans, while the ancients were intent on non-interference. It's why the Ascended collective does not allow interference, and would rather die than intervene. To them, it's literally what separates them from their "nazi's".

The Ark of Truth likely simply brainwashed people into realizing these principles of the Ori, namely that they believe they're superior, would never share power and because of this use any lesser being as a tool. And so, the Priors and Doci were brainwashed into believing that the Ori's promise of ascension is false and that they're merely regarded as tools, not as followers.

My point is though, at the time when the Ark was created, the Ori and Ancients were at war...but the big point is, the Ori were not superior beings at that time. They were all still human because those events took place before their ascension. So at that time, noone, Ancient or Ori, had any idea about higher planes, or empowering ascended beings with worship, because noone was ascended then. So the Ark could not possibly have been programmed with any knowledge of that.

Unless by this time, some had already ascended and taught those left behind what was up??

At this time, Human life had already been seeded. The ancients merely wanted to observe it while the Ori wanted to dominate it. Hence, why the Ark brainwashes people to explain how the Ori see lesser beings (as tools).
