    R.I.P. James Garner

Sad news today. James Garner -- who played Brett Maverick in "Maverick" and Jim Rockford in "The Rockford Files", and many other roles in TV and movies -- passed away at the age of 86. He was always one of my favorite actors.

I just learned more about him recently, but seeing him act I could tell he was a very talented actor

RIP Sep 2010 to beloved gateworld.net member and forum contributor Weedle, very skilled soldier with military special operations, a wonderful human being, and a friend to so many on gateworld. May we keep his memory close.

If anyone is looking for James Garner stuff to watch, I highly recommend My Fellow Americans. Great comedy with him and Jack Lemon as two former presidents who don't get along very well.

I really liked his work. Other great comedy stuff he did that folks may want to checkout - Skin Game (1971), Victor Victoria (1982), Maverick (1994) and the original TV Series.
