It was ten years ago today, on July 16, 2004, that the Atlantis expedition launched. Anyone remember the thrill of watching it for the first time?

I remember it well. To be honest I was sort of apprehensive, because other shows about the lost city of Atlantis weren't that good. And you know how spin-offs often fall short. Following SG-1 would be a hard thing but I wanted to give the show a chance.
And once I learned that Joe Flanigan was in it...ah...I knew him from some other shows.
Watching that first episode I fell in love with it. With Atlantis and the wonderful cast of characters brought to life by the very talented actors.
It was a fun and entertaining five years...and damn it there should have been more!sigpic

I remember watching the premiere and being amazed at the cool new Atlantis set. Loved that McKay was there, and that there were cameos by Daniel & O'Neill. I agree that it was best when it was cut off from Earth, although I did enjoy Caldwell & Hermiod. Sad to think it's been off the air for five years. Good thing the fanfic lives on!Monica Zelenka lover since 2004! RDA fan since 1985! Lorne fan since 2003!
