Episodes to catch someone up

So...for a girlfriend starting the series from scratch and wanting to catch up as fast as possible. Does anyone have a list of which episodes are the most important to understanding the overall plot and the continuity?

Also...which are the must see one offs that are just really good episodes to watch (i.e. the funny ones and great 1 offs like 100 days)

I know this has been brought up before...but I"m not sure how to find it.

Ideally there would be 5-6 episodes per season that I could narrow it to (average) so that we could get up to speed.

Theres a thread like this already cant remember where, but some of the funny ones are Window of Oppertunity, Prometheus Unbound, Citizon Joe was ok, OH OH Upgrades is good, even thought i think its funny just for jacks quote,

Good recommendation

The only episodes that you can afford to miss are the abstract ones such as space race and prometheus unbound to name a few

Have a look at the episode synopsis' on gateworld and see the omnipedia in order to catch up

You could watch some of the clip shows like 'Disclosure' or 'Citizen Joe'. That way you get to see important bits of episodes without having to watch them. For funny episodes I'd recommend some from season four like 'Upgrades' or 'Window of Oppurtunity'
