I read on a forum that the Queen is a lizard and the moon is made of cheese.

    If that's true, why can't I have a pony?

Take a look at the trailer in the link. That's all we've had so far. There's no confirmation for sure. It does sound like him though.

Why Astrid? She was hardly the most interesting guest characters.

Kylie Minogue doesn't come cheap that why, the one off guest appearance was probably done substantially below what she normally charge, as do most guest stars on the show.
I really do hope the rumours aren't true. I'm getting fed up of old characters coming back from the dead.

All the classic series villains will never die for good. It's the same as any sci-fi show. No one is ever really dead.

It would be like Blofeld coming back from the dead in the next Bond movie ..... "don't think I'd like that at all"

He's a villain from the classic series on the same level as The Master. He's a big intellectual equal to the Doctor. This is despite only being intended originally for one story. In his first appearance in Genesis of the Daleks, his own creation actually killed him in the end. So Davros returning from the grave is not unusual at all. In fact among classic fans, it's expected.

Indeed, and let's not forget - the Doctor and Davros don't need to meet in a linear perspective. Some of the best Big Finish audios have seen the Doctor and Davros meet at different points in their timelines.

Mind you, frankly I'm hoping that this is actually the Dalek Time Controller. But hey...

Strictly speaking, the whole of Bond has had a reboot, and we've only just reconvened the trifecta of M, Moneypenny and Bond... so Blofeld would almost be expected to be the next villain. I'd be more concerned about a realistic back-story and plotline than "who".

I like the first two of the "new" Bond movies but did not like Skyfall much at all... But I'm a completist so it's in my collection.

Wait, if we got the trifecta back together, the ones from the original movies... then how come the M from GoldenEye and forward was there? That's like Jamie leaving Doctor Who and Ian replacing him as companion.

                        Because she was awesome.

Bond films aren't some coherent plot that follows on from each other in real time. If that were the case then as a Royal Navy Commander he would have been on average around 35-40 years old if not a little older. This means that by the time Die Another Day happens Pierce Brosnan's Bond would have to be pushing 80.... pretty spry for an old guy.

You could potentially argue that Roger Moore's Bond might be the same as Connery's and Lazenby's but then what about their different attitude's and way of doing things?

In the end each Bond is independent of himself. The 90's films had some overlap and events are referenced, but the one thing that can be said with utmost certainty is that Daniel Craig's is a brand new Bond.

So why have Judi Dench as M if it was a complete reset? Because she had a huge fanbase and having her in it would make the transition to the grittier tone less jarring for old fans.

                          Quite correct.

Initially they attempted to make it clear that Lazenby's Bond was indeed the same Bond. But essentially what you need to do is take a very loose attitude to the Bond franchise. The first 20 movies all 'happened' and were in the same timeline for Bond, but as for 'when' they happened, clearly it's far more vague. Just regard it much like the UNIT dating controversy. Forward date some of the older Bond movies. Backdate some of the Brosnan movies a touch, and you're sorted. If it helps, just remember that (for the most part) they are (loosely, in some cases) adaptions of books. But within the novels, they were ALL certainly a new Bond.

It's only with Casino Royale that a line has been drawn, and the reuse of M's actress is just coincidental. Nothing more. It's a fresh origin story, where as old Bond was initially a cold war warrior who had to adapt to the post-cold war world, new Bond is a product of the GWOT era.

I just solve all of that 007s inherit a name from a set list of standard 007 names, so just like the head of MI6 is known as M, her secretary is always name Mrs Moneypenny, their head 007 agent is always known as James Bond and is always a Royal Navy commander and they all incorporate the same backstories to protect their real families and their real history.

As for the last three films they been very uneven. An I thought the last one could have done with a bit more work on the story.

But why bother? That just makes the whole thing overly complicated.
