tbh the MW Asgard could be of use still for two reasons.
1, I dont buy the fact they all got back to the planet for the mass suicide, there could of been some out there that were stuck in time dilation fields, broken ships or just late to the party.
2, they gave us a core, give the core problem and get it working on a solution, then put it in a time dilation field.

Seriously, we could pretty much solve any problems that had a "time" limit on them by dropping out of sync locally and then just hammering away at the problem..

Hand full of ZPM's, Asgard core, Ancient Database...

I like the time-dilation idea but I think we'd need to establish a colony inside it otherwise it would look from the outside like we were sending our best scientists in and killing them (of old age) almost immediately and we'd end up with a brain drain outside.
It would be good to work on the nanite tech too and find a way to get round the problem of sucking out the memories of the kids that use it.

Time-dilation is an awesome idea and would open up so many more possibilities.

Hence you get the core to do the work, go in once a week to see what its done, meanwhile in the field the cores done years worth of work, after all the Ori beam traveled however far it was in realtime and SG1 were sat around for 50 years or so wasnt it, hell, you could give the core a problem, pop out for lunch and have your answer by the time you'd finished your pudding..

It could only do theoretical/computational work this way. The practical experiments would still take time to do outside the field. Still very useful though.

Yeah, experiments could be done inside the field but you probably wouldnt want to spend too much time in there, unless of course you do what Sam did and find a way to reverse time inside the field and then any experiments you would need to do would be even easier..
