    This thread is for Sam/Jack centric fanfictions that revolve around or heavily rely on some kind of medical condition (except for pregnancy, see other lists), like (mild) diseases, severe injuries, brain damage, amnesia, psychological trauma and/or something that forces either or both of them into medical retirement.

    See the different subcategories in the posts below. I have reserved a few extra posts in case I need to expand the lists. If you have suggestions and/or entries for the lists please post it here and clarify which (sub)category it belongs to so I can update the master list(s) for easy navigation.

    Please remember that M(A)- and R-rated fics cannot be linked to directly and will therefore be linked to the author's page. If a fic hasn't been completed yet then it will get the WIP note in its entry, if it looks like an abandoned fic (aka hasn't been uploaded in years) then the WIP notation is between air quotes.

      Mild Diseases and Injuries (flue, fever, cold, delirious, dehydration, mild infections, sprains, broken bones/ribs, etc.):

      • Above and Beyond by Jen Camp (M rated; doesn't appear to be available online anymore)
      • And The Key To The SGC by Jacquelyn Smith: As an illness takes hold of the SGC at Christmas.
      • Blue Flowers by Carhop: Those lovely little blue flowers and the Aqua Veritas weren't as innocuous as they seemed.
      • Change of Heart by fems: A broken leg means medical leave, even for the base commander. Still, Sam is surprised when instead of a member of the IOA to temporarily replace her it is Jack O'Neill who comes through the 'gate. Jack expects his orders and the subsequent changes might not go over well on Atlantis right away, but his priorities are Sam and the future of the Atlantis Expedition.
      • Consequences of Being Touched by fems : Seven years after the Touched-virus, a new alien virus affects those previously infected. As the disease spreads, memories and bonds thought long forgotten come to light, revealing what really happened all those years ago.
      • Contagion by Noda: Sam contracts an alien virus.
      • Eight Weeks by Jackie W: One broken leg, eight weeks and a lot of misadventures lead to change for SG-1. Sam gets a broken leg, set around S7.
      • Fever by polrobin: “Did...I...” Sam sucked in a breath and closed her eyes. “Please tell me I didn’t just say that out loud.” Her whispered plea was faint, hopeful.
      • In Sickness and In Health by Jackie W: Part 5 - The final chapter - Hammond retires, and Sam and Jack add to their family.
      • One Touch Is Enough by fems : What really happened when Sam jumped Jack in the locker room and he hauled her off to the infirmary? When did they change her into scrubs, who did it and how were they able to do it when she was so out of control by the time they got her strapped to a gurney? Prequel of sorts for CoBT but can stand-alone.
      • Recuperation by Rose Stetson - Sam recuperates for a few days in Atlantis after "Trio", and she gets a "check-up" from a certain older man who's in Washington.
      • The Weather Outside by Doc: SG-1 gets an outsider foisted on them for a routine survey mission, which soon turns out to be anything but routine (so what else is new?) ... There's also snow. Snow. And more ... snow. Did I mention 'snow'?

          Severe Beatings, Injuries, Diseases and Disabilities (battle/POW wounds, surgery, organ removal/transplants, etc):

                            I'm not always sure what category things fit in, so I'm just going to make my recommendations and give you my keyword descriptions from my spreadsheet and let you decide, fems.
