Stargate Universe Wins 5/6 Constellation Awards!

Since nobody seems to notice it, I thought it's worth to mention.

Found this via Mason246 on LJ, and would most likely have missed it (like everybody else) without her post. Anyway, even this award will not bring the show back in any ways, it shows at least how much it was appreciated by the Canadian audience.

Many thanks for pointing out our efforts! I think it hasn't gotten much attention so far because (aside from the awards ceremony itself) no official announcement has been made yet. I imagine everyone's still too busy with the Polaris convention.

These wins show more than appreciation by the Canadian audience. I was one of the leaders of the campaign to accomplish this, and we had people around the world voting. Yes, it cost us $16 each to vote, and it was a significant financial burden to some--there were students, unemployed, and people living off their earnings from plasma centers--but we voted anyway because SGU is more important to us than eating. SGU beat well acclaimed shows like Doctor Who and yet it still was scrapped! If getting nearly a clean sweep of awards can't bring a show back I don't know what will!
