Pretty much. Seems like Earth (US) has the ability to build multiple (probably the same berth as the Prometheus but expanded) 304s at the same time. For example the Daedalus was operational several months after the Odyssey. You could assume that it was the same berthing (building spot) but that would mean that Earth is capable of building 304s within a year.

They did build 6 of them within 3 years so it appears as if they can make them in 6 months

Or it takes a year and build two at the same time. However, the Korolev was built not that far away from the Odyssey, so may be possible for a third to be built at the same time. However, you could say the Daedalus was built and then the Korolev was build after the Daedalus launch.

In other words, Erath are building giant ships extremely fast. Must be some new offscreen technology that allows them to do that.

Hasn't there already been a thread on this? Anyway, there's been seven Earth ships constructed, discounting the fighter jets.

Prometheus: This was introduced in SG-1's sixth season episode, "Prometheus." It was destroyed in the ninth season episode, "Ethon."
Daedalus: This ship was introduced in SG-1's eighth season episode, "Moebius, Part 1." Specifically, we saw schematics on Carter's computer screen, and she talked about it briefly with SG-1. It's first on screen appearance was on Atlantis in the second season premiere, "The Siege, Part 3." It appeared heavily throughout the second season with a smaller role in subsequent seasons.
Odyssey: This was introduced as the Prometheus's replacement, though I forget the exact episode. It went on to appear throughout the rest of the show's run and in the first movie.
Korolev: Introduced as a Russian ship in SG-1's ninth season finale, "Camelot." It was destroyed in the same episode.
Apollo: Though it was first seen in SGA's third season finale, "First Strike," it's first chronological appearance was in The Ark of Truth. Rather, only Colonel Ellis and part of his bridge was seen on a SGC computer monitor in the movie. On SGA, the ship appeared in five or so episodes.
Sun Tzu: This ship was only mentioned in the series finale.
George Hammond: The latest ship originally appeared in SGA's fourth season finale (The Last Man) as part of an alternate future. It's first proper appearance was in SGU's series premiere. It went on to appear in one more episode, "Incursion, Part 1."

Odyssey first appeared in "Off the Grid" and very next episode after "Ethon" where the Prometheus was destroyed.

Was it ever confirmed that the Sun Tzu re-entered service? I thought it was abandoned after it's engagement with the Super Hive, Col. Ellis said it was venting atmosphere in "The Enemy at the Gate".

I'd say it's status is unknown with an official 304 count of four operational vessels as of the SGU finale.

regarding the Sun Tzu do you think it would have been easier to leave her there or find a way to repair it in some way depending on how far into the void between galaxies it was when it engaged the super-hive

Prometheus is not a Daedalus-class ship, it has a different design. Daedalus is the first, and the others build after it, follow in the same category. They're 304s
    Prometheus is a 303.

lets put it this way. how many countries contribute to the ioa?

if needed be, give earth 2 years and they can make probobly 15 304's a year(probobly take a year to create their underground lair, and about 1 yr for the ship. remember, the korolev was a russian ship, made by the russians(thus the russian name)

so can we not assume that many countries helped make certain 304's?

oh and btw: earth never stoped makehing them. 6 made last we knew. plus 2 years since that time. id say we have at leased 8-10 now.

The Korolev was given Russian control after President Henry Hayes decided it was the only way to keep the Stargate in the hands of the United States government.

I was just about to mention Prometheus, even though it's not Daedalus class...but still that was the first Earth built ship.

I thought the Odyssey was next after Prometheus and then the Daedalus after that.

The last word we had on his, Earth was refusing to freely share military technology with its allies, including the technology to used to build ships. That was what the Russian argument was all about in the lead up to them being given the Korolev - They were upset that the U.S. had been keeping certain technologies to itself and so they managed to strong arm the U.S. into giving them a complete ship. After that, we saw the Chinese again complaining about technology being held back, so I would guess they too managed to put pressure on the U.S. to get the Sun Tzu. I think it's unlikely that they have actually decided to share the process for building the ships, but unless they have or unless the Chinese have managed to reverse engineer the tech [and have a source of trinium/naquadah] then the U.S. is still the only source of space ships on Earth.

No, the Daedalus was the first in the line, which is why all 304s are called Daedalus class ships - The Daedalus made its first appearance at the end of Sg-1 season 8 and Atlantis' season 1. In "Mobius," Carter said that it would be ready to go as soon as they finished testing the Asgard hyperdrive and then, of course, it went off to Atlantis to save the day during the siege. It then spent season 9 [of Sg-1] and season 2 [of Atlantis] ferrying supplies to the Pegasus galaxy and helping the expedition while the Prometheus served SG teams in the Milky Way. The Prometheus was then destroyed in "Ethon" (the 15th episode of season 9) and the Odyssey made its debut appearance in the following episode. So the Odyssey was next after the Prometheus to serve SG teams in the Milky Way, but not the next ship to have been built.
