    Default Season 3 ideas

If SGU renewed ton season 3 someday, I propose to new plot elements

    *Black Hole in Destiny's Path
    *Intelligence civilisation
    *Humans from Novus
*Main command center of these drones
*Safe supply line from Milky Way
    *McKay as regular
*Guest appearances from SG-1 and SGA main characters
*X-Men crossover (I don't know if you know that human mind putted into new body - Dr. X did that in X-Men 3 after the credits scene)
*Crew of Destiny found a solutions for Lisa Park's blindness and TJ's ALS desease (helped by people from Novus)

Hate to break it to you but if this is going to happen it probably won't happen for awhile if ever

Not A Bad Idea, maybe they could use some ancienty tech and turn into to a wormhole to go home? idk

We'll they already kind of touched on this with season 2 but i guess they would have needed some form of enemy for season 3, i guess they could have created the drones?

IDK about this one they left that galaxy in the finale, unless the humans from novus went to another galaxy also, but that may just be a little too convenient

This plot could work, but they would have to find another method other than blowing up planets

They were starting to do the second one anyways, but i don't think McKay would blend in with the crew of Destiny, However i think McKay is happy on Atlantis and he probably would have wanted to have been involved from the start

No i don't like this idea sorry, maybe if it was like a mutant planet like people the novans had discarded or something it could work but i doubt it would be like cyclops, prof x etc etc

I dont know if Lisa Park would survive, i mean the radiation alone would probably kill her, and as for TJ, if they don't find a cure i kinda saw her dying at the end or as they got home or something

I'm currently re-watching SGU so I will be posting another version of my ending soon, including my own new plot elements for the show.

I would have liked to have seen McKay and Rush trying to work together in the same room! Carter would have to come and pick up the pieces.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. SGU introduced a new concept and format for/of the series and that is why I think that they should've used the SG-1 and Atlantis cast members more during the first two seasons, because that's what would probably keep the series going and give it just enough juice for at least another season. The casts from the previous two seasons should have been the secondary cast members and their characters should be aiding and leading the crew on Destiny from Earth, so that the crew would learn from experiences of the SG-1 and SG Atlanits teams. That would keep as many viewers tuned in as possible, as well lead into better SGU characer categorizations and also better stories.

Also, the SGU characters would have an easier time adjusting to the ship and their new surroundings.

I really like some of those ideas, would make for some interesting stories. Especially more humans from Novus, and the drones. What if, at some point in time, they created these drones as a way to defend themselves against the Nakai, or other aliens? And along the way, they started losing control of these drones, or they had won the war, left he drones for what they were and the drones started taking action without any orders from them?

I also would've loved to see more ancient technology. So far we have only seen the seed ships. The Ancients must've left more ships or technology, scattered in the universe, right? Maybe even, towards what might've been the end of the show, they could play into the subspace beacon that Atlantis had begun transmitting after using the ZPM. What if the Destiny crew could find a way for Destiny to respond to that, lead them straight to Atlantis? They'd need to have some sort of intergalactic way of traveling that's faster than FTL of course, since we still have no idea how far away exactly they were from earth.

I dunno, I always like to think of things that could've happened on the show, had it gotten another season, or even just one movie to wrap it all up

If they gonna use Black hole to getting home, there is possibility that they can organize full search in the ship when Destiny is back in Earth.

For Amanda Perry and Ginn they can use a mixed Asgard tech to put their minds into a "dead" person.

Another possible way to safe supply line or getting home (at the end) is they can use a another seed ship

What you think what more interesting stuff can be found in Destiny?

    *Humans from Novus
The destiny crew left the galaxy that the novus people were traveling to they did not have FTL and unlikely to have another appearance in the SGU series sorry but it is a fact sorry for brreaking your spirits.

It is possible the humans from Novus also travelled to next galaxy. These humans are probably from another planet (It is stated that the humans from Novus spreaded across the galaxy)

Yea.. it was strange the 2 times Mccay was there, Rush was not.

How?? In the ep, (17 iirc) they mentioned it would take dozens of years at the least for their ships to travel from novus to the new planet they were going to. There would be no way they could get from this galaxy to the next.

Hey. Don't remember that they spread across the galaxy and evolve different ways. IT IS POSSIBLE that some Novus subrace could more advanced and POSSIBLY reached to the next galaxy.

Perhaps the people from Novus encountered an advanced alien race or some type of space phenomenon that pushed them into another galaxy.

I would liked to have had an appearance from the Goa'uld in season 3 and I know some people may not like that idea but it would be kind of interesting and fun to see them once again. Maybe they could have written it in like a lost and forgotten Goa'uld also discovered this signal and set out to find its source and Destiny catches up with it..maybe the reason the Goa'uld ship is ahead of the Destiny could be explained by it passing through a natural worm hole or something.

OR perhaps an appearance from the original replicators from SG-1 because we know from early on that they went out into space and in episode 5x01 (SG-1) Enemies when SG-1 and Apophis ships got transported 4 million light-years into deep space the replicators appeared out of nowhere on an unknown ship so the replicators could easily be in Destinys path somewhere.

I also dont think that the seed ships gate drops are random because we have seen gates dropped on what are clearly uninhabitable planets with no valuable resources so maybe it is part of a pattern and some master plan for some reason that we have yet to discover.

Now they have control of Destinys bridge I would have also liked to have seen more exploration of the ship because its huge and there must be more on it like labs and even more ancient equipment like the robots and space suits and it would be nice to actually get our hands on some ancient guns for once because we know they had them but for some reason we never found their armoury lol.

Well, this aren't exactly (just) season 3 ideas, but I did write another version of my own SGU ending, just like I promissed in another thread. It's not exactly perfect, but it does the job for me: it ends SGU for me. Now, I've only included the main story and I've left out any known and many possible sub-plots and sub-stories. I've also written two versions of what would be the final episode. Now I don't excatly know if this version of my ending would fit into just 3 seasons and the 20 episodes per season concept, but here you go anyway. Fillers would have to be left out if the the story would be continued like this on the TV series, or the fillers would have to be combined with the "big" episodes. The series finale would probably have to be a 2 or 3 parter.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    STARGATE UNIVERSE - ENDING

    Season 3:
The story continues 5 years later. Eli has managed to fix one of the damaged stasis pods and was able to go to into stasis. The entire crew is awakened and find out that they have been somehow placed in a time-dilation field, similar to the one that SG-1 was trapped in years ago. Eli and Rush preform a system diagnostic and find out that somehow, the entire ship has been placed in a time-dilation field and it stayed there for 2 years. Further inspection shows that Destiny did stay in the FTL for 3 years, just as Eli predicted, but there is another problem: Destiny was traced down by the drones and surrounded, but somehow, the time-dilation field had been activated and prevented the first blast from reaching the ship and hitting it. The crew later finds out that the entire ship has been completely fixed, thus, leading everyone to believe that the same aliens who sent the now-long deceased Eden crew members back to Destiny have put the entire ship into the field and fixed it. Young sends a team to investigate the whole ship and a chamber is found which can produce the same scenario that SG-1 experienced, however, someone must stay older than the rest and keep the memories, whilst all others will not have a single memory of what happened during the time in the time-dilation field. The crew ends up choosing Rush to do the honnors. The season ends with Destiny making a successful jump to FTL. Everyone, except Rush, is back sleeping in the stasis pods. Rush wakes up the crew and than reports back to Homeworld Command about what happened.

    Season 4:
The crew re-explores the ship. It is comfirmed that the ship remained fixed even after it exited the time-dilation field. Rush finds out that the ship has been fixed after it was put into the field and that it should have reversed to its original state before it was fixed, after it exited the the time-dilation field, but for some strange reason, it didn't. This prooves to the crew that the Eden aliens did have something to do with it. Eli estimates that the ship is at 80 % of its originally designed power, but still not capable to dial Earth due to drones tracing it.
Meanwhile, the remaining Novus colonists have contacted Earth and with their new advanced technology, have enabled the Homeworld Command to dial the 9th chevron and finally establish a stable wormhole to Destiny. General O' Neill is able to send reinforcements to the ship, although he does know that even the reinforcements may not make it home. Destiny has a couple encounters with the drones and is finally able to defeat them, but with the cost of 20 % of the ship's power. Chloe finds out that she has not been cured by the Blue Aliens and TJ locates a controlling/tracing device in Cloe's body. TJ also finds out that her illness has immasivelly progressed. Some planets are explored by Scott's team, and more life supplies are secured for the crew as well as for the ship.

    Season 5:
The Blue Aliens trace Destiny and kidnap Chole once again. This time, they separate the alien parts from her human parts and create a blue version of Chloe. She is returned to the Destiny, where she reveals what's she been trough. Chloe revelas that the Blue Aliens actually wanted someone that would enable them to extend their existance, because they were at the verge of complete extinction. The Blue Aliens only wanted two things: to stay alive and make their own space ship with the properties, similar to the ones of the Destiny itself. TJ dies from her illness, but before the crew can hold a memorial for her, her body suddenly disappears.

The Eden Aliens finally show themselves as Destiny's enemies. A fierce battle occues between them and Destiny. Destiny suffers a lot of damage, but a blue Destiny appears, which is piloted by the Blue Aliens, who defeat the Eden Aliens. It is eventually revealed that the Eden Aliens are imposters when the real ones show up and fix Destiny once again. They reveal that their mission was to monitor the Destiny and make sure it completes its misson, because they have been trying to find exactly what Destiny is trying to find. After fixing the ship, the Eden Aliens give specific instructions to the crew on how to get home.

Eli and Rush manage bring the ship up to full power and Rush confirms that they are now able to dial Earth. However, right before they attpempt to dial, Destiny stops in a Galaxy with a couple of planets in range. On one of the planets, Scott's team encounters something completely unexpected. The team heads back onto the ship and Scott tells Young that they have a surprise for him and pretty much for everyone else. Everyone is gathered in the gate room. Somebody dials the Destiny. A woman steps trough and arrives onto the ship. Everyone, especially Young, is shocked about what they see. The women is no other than TJ who has been revived and cured. She is welcomed aboard and is finally re-united with Young. Later, TJ cures Park's eyes with a medicine she found on the planet she was on.

    The series finale V1

Destiny completes its mission. The secret message is finally revealed. Eli and Rush gather everyone in the gate room and they successfully dial Earth. Everyone is re-united with their beloved ones. The president of USA offically proclaims the Stargate program terminated and any working Stargate on Earth is ordered to be used for exploration purposes of only known Galaxies and planets.

Destiny arrives and lands somewhere on Earth. It's properly re-explored and the data from the ship's systems is copied to a computer, given to Homeworld Command by the Novus Colonists. Shortly after that, the ship goes on to continue its path into the unknown for hundreds of thousands of years to come.

The series ends with a look on Destiny in a distant future, travelling trough Galaxies, with a new crew on board, exploring the Universe...

    The series finale V2

Destiny completes its mission. The secret message is finally revealed. Destiny brings the entire crew home. Rush and Eli dial Earth's 9th chevron address and everyone is re-united with their beloved ones. Meanwhile, Destiny lands somewhere on Earth, allowing the scientists to explore it in detail. 5 years later, the entire crew is summonned once again and is assigned to a new mission: explore any planets and Galaxies that were skipped for some reason. Everyone boards Destiny once again, which rises from Earth by itself and jumps into the FTL. The president of USA offically proclaims the Stargate program terminated and any working Stargate on Earth is ordered to be used for exploration purposes of only known Galaxies and planets.

The series ends with a look on Destiny in a distant future, boarded by a new crew from Earth and supported by Earth's advanced technologies from a new Stargate Command.
Destiny arrives to a Galaxy and the new crew finds a completely new kind of Stargate, that contains 12 chevrons. The Stargate program on Earth is launched once again, however, the Stargate Command is moved away from Earth to another planet, to keep the danger away from it.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's that. I might do SGA movie + my own version of SGA season 6 next since I'm going to re-watch Atlantis next anyway.

Some of that is a little TOO far fetched, such as the novans being the ones who contact earth and get the 9th cheveron working again (since they had no tech to duplicate the stones), the whole Eden aliens showing up and not just fully repairing the ship, but time dilating everything, as well as reversing it.

Of course you're right - but it's just like I said in my previous post: I've only included the main events, without the building-up elements that lead to the finale outcome. To do A FULL VERSION OF THE ENDING, I would have to re-watch every SGU episode (and probably every SG-1 and SGA episode just for reference) and every SG movie made (probably the SG-1 ones only), make notes, write down the main story, the sub-stories, plots, sub-plots, compile individual character histories so I wouldn't mess up a single character and THEN get to the ACTUAL WRITING. I would also need to write individual episodes, since I do need to make characters work like seen in the 3 TV series, assign them individual stories, develop them even further and connect their individual stories to the main story. There's also possible character cameos from the other two series and I would need to make those work as well, fit into the story and sync them with the SGU story, just like it was the case with SG-1, SGA and SGU S2, while keeping them the same as well AND MAYBE developing them even further at the same time. I would have to write 60 episodes in order to do a full story. The same goes for SGA. If I do my own SGA ending, it will also be something like this. However, for SGA, I would have to do the movie first (since the movie would be he first tow episodes of SGA S6) and roughly 20 episodes (or 18, since Malozzi stated on his blog once that the SGA movie would be followed by an 18 episode season).

But unfortunatelly, I'm not a writer so I can only do the "surface storytelling" and that's exaclty what I've done. Whilst I do have more than enough time to do 60 episodes and maybe a movie, I do not have the needed writing talent to do that. Maybe I could do the synopsis for every episode, but I think that would make it even worse. Besides, there's a certain production company that wouldn't exactly be fond of my work, so publishing anything would be anything but good for me. Not to mention how much time would I need to spend to write the episodes.

However, I will be keeping an eye on ths board, because I'd like very much to see what other members can/could come up with.

Universe was just getting good, seems like a bit of an anti climax just to bung the crew in stasis and head off to the next galaxy.

I would have liked to see them stay and forge an alliance with the Novans. They still could if something went wrong with the stasis plan.

The Novans sound to have more advanced basic home grown science than earth, but earth has had more exposure to advanced alien technology which they have been able to reverse engineer to some degree. We know they have space ships capable of travelling to another planet. That's more than earth could build before getting a helping hand.

What about their power sources? They have nuclear weapons so they are likely to have fission reactors at least, maybe fusion. Could they build a power source capable of powering the gate to earth, even for a brief moment to send a data-burst. Maybe they could study the Destiny and help unlock it's secrets faster. If earth could get it's hands on the Destiny's energy recharging technology it could send re-enforcements and weapons to help fight the drones. It could also allow SG teams to travel to any gate in the system so no need to continue Destiny's mission to follow the seed ships just gate in and explore instead.

From the Novans point of view, they are bound to encounter the drones sooner or later and are unlikely to be able to defeat them without help. They already have an affinity to earth so I'm guessing they would go for an alliance, but there could be some fun with the politics of the 2 factions and earth working together.

Right now the only force we know of in the galaxy capable of defeating the drones in battle is the Destiny. We also know that they can track the use of the gate. We would need to find a way to bring up the strength of the Novans before they get destroyed by the drones. I see destiny undertaking missions to intercept the Novan ships, help seed other planets with settlers, speed up their development, distract the enemy and undertake strategic missions to secure vital resources/tech.

Shame it's never going to happen!

i think what will happen is in X amount of years <relative to the time it takes us to acquire the proper funding.> the SGC will establish a new connection and send a SG team to investigate the dormant ship, they find the former cast in there pods as skeletons <because they wont be able to rehire the old cast> <power failure> thusly a new group learns to control the destiny. hopefully picking up lots of alien companions and together with lots of tear jerking sacrifices and brotherly love <the main components i found lacking from SGU> they will fly up gods nostril without ever whining about their mothers, ex wives or lesbian lovers, and discover the true meaning of nose goblins. or something at least as exciting.

Well, I love it, but I honestly think it's a bit too bold for them to actually go ahead and do.

As for the Novans; I love them, I really do. But I think that that bridge has been burned and should stay burned unless it turns out the Destiny has broken down and never actually left their Galaxy at all. Anything that allows them to turn up in other Galaxies would just be the writers taking a flamethrower to the flimsy paper edifice that is my Willing Suspension of Disbelief

Let's look at the situation. The main men producing Stargate are out of the office at MGM. It would take too much to bring old actors back without them. Trekkies are making their own shows (ten years now), despite Abrams making other movies!
