1969 was a time travel episode I think; not a alternate timeline episode. Unless the entire series of SG-1 took place in the alternate timeline created by "1969".

"1969" was a predestination paradox. Everything that happened in 1969 had already happened when they left 1999 at the beginning of the episode. That's why Hammond gave Carter the note, their way home.

time, definitely my favorite episode of sgu. i love how it begins with you not really knowing why the screen is the way that it is. and of course the ending which deletes the whole thing. plus the serious stuff with eli, and funny things like the movie list. and the part when eli goes "what the" (commercial). and yes i've seen the ep many times.

Doesn't it go on into infinity? I mean a Hammond gave over the note to SG1 who would show it to a young Hammond who would go on and become commander of SGC who would give over the note, etc. ad infinitum?

For me, i would also put in 2010's 2nd parter for SG1
    and Twin destinies for SGU.
Only other time travel one i know of for SGA was Before i sleep.
