There isn't any obligation to join therpf.com if all you want to do is read the forum threads.

That site won't allow off-site links in img tags direct from the Albums, but the url codes work fine.
The place to "Gate" to during Outages for updates and info:

Well it has been a while since I posted as I moved house and life has been hectic, but good news from JT graphic who are now doing an SGU Destiny miniature 1/9600 scale.

and they are still doing Asgard, Goauld and puddle jumper models as well as heaps of BSG and ST

Thank you - I am interested in the puddle jumper, do you have that one? I see it's listed for $100, that just seems pretty high. How much would shipping be to the USA?

Well that company I believe is located in Florida so postage would be pretty reasonable, they are good to deal with and the puddle jumper is worth it, it is a pretty detailed kit with many parts and it is a good size to.

I have basically finished the prototype of Prometheus from 3d printer and cad to this.
Will mold in the next few weeks, and possibly look at upsizing to around 330 mm this one is around 110 mm

                      I don't know

I've been thinking about how to do it.. I would have to get it printed at Shapeways.. at least the first one.. then make a mould and cast them in fibreglass.. but the outer-shell.. Shapeways does a frosted plastic that can be polished to make it clearer.. but I would have to order a lot of them.. or make them available for sale separately.. Or sell all of it though Shapeways.. but then I wouldn't be able to paint them...

I could make the camera lens here myself.. but if the rest of the Kino is 3D printed and shipped directly to the buyer, I wouldn't be able to put the lens in..

I'll have to think about it

they are overrated, I spend weeks getting the prototypes to mold state for casting after I print them out, and the size restriction is also painful, having to buy software to split up the model for printing in pieces.

But I need to build an Atomic Death Ray..

                              And my Chozo Power Suit..

I know they're not perfect, but it would make things easier for me..starting with something that is mostly the right shape, instead of a flat piece of cardboard..
