Regrettably, I have come to terms with the fact that SGU ended way before its time. If we do get more Stargate at some point, I do not see it being a continuation of Universe. It will be something new.

The folks that tried to make the animated series decided to start acting like a production company and a studio, instead of just keeping it as fans. Once it stopped being fans, and started being 'TZH Productions' or something like that, the copy right and license holders had no option but to shut them down.
Sad, because they were a talented bunch, who created some awesome work. But they should have kept it simply as fans creating stuff for other fans...
The 'Virtual Third Season' of SGU at http://www.philotic.com/stargate has had 10's of thousands of readers. It has a few bugs in it with respect to established SG science/canon, but it provides a very well received closure not just to SGU, but to SG-1/SG-A as well.
