Yeah, mine swears; almost as much as Dean

    Thank you.

I think you can do it. If you need a break, take it. Don't sit by the computer frustrated. Do jumping jacks or something instead.
I take Youtube breaks once in a while. Does that count? And also, dinner breaks, and bathroom breaks and...

I can totally understand the frustration with writing. I am not a natural writer and it takes me forever to say what I want to say...and then I edit it and change if 43 times before I finally post.
EXACTLY! That is ME! That's what I do!

*hugs* You can do it! No pressure at all.
Thanks. I don't have that much more to go! I think...

A beta? Hmm, well, not a bad idea. I don't want it to be anyone of you guys...no offence! I just...want you to be surprised by what I've written. However, If I find myself in a real pickle I will ask one of you to take a look.

Y'know, if you want, you could say that the first part is your contribution then just use your second part for the next round. I promise that I won't be writing Dean into my part; apparently my character's a loner
Thing is, I want my two parts to be together because I'm afraid it won't work otherwise.

    Yes, I have.

...eat a thesaurus??? You think I eat thesauruses???

HP Lovecraft, as much as I enjoy his stories is infamous for picking words that sometimes, although correct, were just a bit...........clunky at times.
Still, if you want to use em, go for it
    Thank you.

I tried to read Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes" but I just couldn't... It was, I dunno, his writing style was confusing.

As others have said, we are often our worst critics, I know I'm guilty of it myself. If you keep the story in the draw however..............
I have heard that saying before and I believe it 100%! And don't worry, I won't keep it in the drawer.

Don't worry so much. I'm sure people will critique it if you want them to.
Have you considered putting on an ep or 2 of SPN in the background with story elements of what you want to write?
I don't mean watch it, just, listen to it.
No, but that's not a bad idea!

Yep. I do that as well.

so then you may wonder how i can write for an RP? simple, i don't read what i'm posting til after i've posted it.... b/c once it's posted, there's no going back to edit..... i mean sure, we have an edit function so we can go back and edit our posts, but sometimes threads move so fast, that by the time you finish editing, 30 ppl have already commented on what you've already posted.... that's also why you'll see a lot of typos, spelling mistakes, and grammatical errors in my RP posts.....
No rereading until I'm done. Or lost my train of thought. Got it. Except, lost m train of thought all the time.

GF could be an impartial beta.... i mean since all he's doing is coming along for the ride anyways or you could always ask copter or sis....

when i lose my train of thought, i only reread the current paragraph and/or the one before it depending on the length.... it's enough to get back into that train of thought, and not enough to get sidetracked by wating to change things.... if that helps!

I tend not to even do that.. I just continue with my current thought. Then when I go back and read it, if it doesn't make sense, I fix it then.

Thank you. Actually y'all can help me right now.

As you may remember Grace was last seen screaming, well, now she's laying on the ground unconscious and I'm struggling with how to wake her up. Or how she's gonna wake up. If you guys could throw some suggestions my way that would be awesome! Or, you know, good. If not then that's good too.

I think, once I get that down I'll have a better shot at finishing it sooner rather than later.

Why is she unconscious to begin with? I think that could have an impact on how to wake her up.. But that could just be me.

And....Apparently I'm including Grace into my portion I hope that's okay.. There's no dialogue or anything, she's just mentioned..

    RiG,
My first thought would be have Grace's character have something to do with it, that way you have a rationale for the 2 to meet.

Years ago, when I was in college, I used to take the (public) bus and would write on the ride home all the time. I'd fill notebook pages (back and front!) with stories based on the shows I was into back then. And I wouldn't read a thing I wrote until I got home. I still have those notebooks.

Given Raiah's relationship with Dean, it made sense for her to know Grace

I've only written one fic out on paper and that was only the first chapter. If I ever get around to writing my own novel, I hope to physically write it out rather than type it but we'll see.

Exactly! We don't know how she ended up unconscious so we, or at least I'm not, aren't sure how to have her wake up... Do you want her to watch Dean crawl out of the grave or do you want him to be the one waking her up?

I love physical writing, that whole tactile sensation. I just...never have the opportunity to do so these days. And I learned over the years that ideas come more easily to me when I'm typing, which wasn't always the case.

She was supposed to watch Dean come out of the grave but damn if that isn't an excellent idea!
