I guess even Ba'al knows Chinese food is the best.![]()
"Thanks to denial, I'm immortal."
"A big 'Hello' to all intelligent life out there, and for everyone else, the secret is to bang the rocks together, guys!"
"Excuse me, barmaid? You seem to have brought me the wrong offspring. I ordered an extra large boy with beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. This here, this is a talking fishbone!"
"I'm Jack. It means... what's in the box?"

I recently read about how foie gras is produced, and it's so disgusting, I felt like throwing up. I wonder if people who love it as a delicacy know how it is made and if they'd keep eating it anyway.
We might think of the alien's food as weird, but they might think the same of our food. Take cheese, for example; we think of it as perfectly normal, but in some parts of the world, it is seen as strange. Or various cuts of meat that we today might reject; meat from the hooves, head or organ meat. Our ancestors - and not that long ago! - would have seen that as perfectly normal to eat. We've just had the luxury or taking only the finest cuts. My grandmother used to make a gruel made from oatmeal and meat from a pig's head. I got squeamish about it once I knew what was in it, but it was good.
I eat rotten fish, which is a speciality in Sweden, where I come from. Very nice!
I just learned that the Mc'Rib sandwich is made from pig heart, tripe, and a material used for making things like gym and yoga mats. (Tripe is leftover matter from a dead animals stomach, oft used in dog food.) They created the Mc'Rib when chicken supplies for Mc'nuggets were low.
He who controls the spice controls the universe!(And the kitchen.)
Thank god I'm a vegetarian. I may move over to vegan sooner than later.
Now if I told my husband what was in the McRib, he'd probably drive over to McDonald's and grab a sandwich for himself anyway. he doesn't care.
I cannot remember any weird foods SG-1 ate. Did they ever show anything? Other than Skaara's moonshine? I only remember the Goa'uld and the eating of symbiotes.
I won't go near McDonalds, never really cared for the taste, or lack of ,given what could be in it!
They did have that 'armadillo' looking creature at the feast Kassuf held for O'Neil and the team and Daniel said it tasted like chicken, the others didn't want to try it.
Hmm, weird foods SG-1 ate...that 'marriage' cake certainly made life interesting for Jack in 'Brief Candle'!
The food served up in a trough on that prison planet in 'Prisoners'.......heaven knows what that was! Jack thought better of trying it! http://www.gateworld.net/gallery/dis..._display_media
^ I have quit McDonald's for some time now. But it wasn't actually because of the food more like what the food caused for stomach. Never pleasant. But I have read lots of articles about what McDonalds does to their food. Yuck.
I forgot about the food on Hedante! That sludge did look disgusting.
...Does anyone else see the irony in a user named Gormagon saying that our food is scary and that he is vegan?![]()
