Same as you, watched the first 3 episodes and was not hooked, so I gave up, but a lot of people say it´s good?
But is the same as "True Blood" many people like it but IMO one of the worst shows on TV, I have even watched one season, but the show is really bad.

I think i watched True Blood because the music in the episode where granny was killed was really superb, and I secretly hoped it could go on like that.

The writing and acting (and cinematography) are fantastic. Bryan Cranston is probably the best actor on television at the moment (hence his three consecutive Emmys), which combined with the writing makes Walter White one of the greatest characters in TV fiction. The show is largely focused around him and Jesse (also brilliantly acted by Aaron Paul), with a strong and intelligently-used supporting cast. Season 3 introduces one of TV's best villains.

It's definitely a slow-burner for large parts of the first two seasons, but that just makes it all the more satisfying when the **** really hits the fan. Seasons three and four aren't really that much faster paced, but they really ratchet up the tension (and increase the frequency of "holy ****" moments).
Currently watching: Game of Thrones - Doctor Who - Hannibal - Defiance | Louie (Season 2) - The Thick of It
Currently reading: Star Trek: Vanguard - Open Secrets

Hm... Thanks... but first I decided I will watch JUSTIFIED and SONS OF ANARCHY ( wanted to watch both shows in years !) so Breaking Bad has to wait anyway..

All caught up on Saturday. Holy hell what a show. Having to wait week-to-week for Season 5 episodes is going to be murder

What an amazing show. All the actors are incredible, even for the characters I loathe (cough Skyler cough).

But the real hazard of watching all four seasons of this in seven days? I want to punctuate every other sentence with "b*tch" Damn you, Aaron Paul! (B*tch!)

Skyler wasn't such a ***** (there's that word again ) in the last season i thought, but yeah from seasons 1-3 just about every episode she had me uttering the words what a ***** (and again)

I cracked up sooo much when

    Big season 4 spoiler
    Spoiler:
Saul's amateur goons were shaking down Ted and he tried to run, but tripped on his rug and died. So horrible, so hilarious

The ending of season 4 though, the very end I mean...

'Breaking Bad' Creator Secretly Introduced Season Five's Villains Two Years Ago

If "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan has only one thing in common with his increasingly dangerous protagonist Walter White, it's this: the two men pay attention to the details.

Gilligan, a veteran of "The X-Files" before going on to create the critically revered AMC drug drama, introduced a potential new big bad to the "Breaking Bad" universe this season in the form of Madrigal Electromotive GmbH, a German corporation he describes as "something the size of General Electric, except based in Hanover, Germany."

"We're going to meet a couple of these executives who, in the past, have worked very closely with Gustavo Fring, bankrolling his operation, his Pollos Hermanos empire," Gilligan told MTV News at Comic-Con of the big new corporate entity, which he introduced in "Madrigal," the second episode of the show's current fifth season. "The question that arises is, is this an evil empire in its entirety? Or is this just a few executives who were bad apples in this otherwise more-or-less neutral company?"

That might be the current question, but here's one bit of trivia you likely don't know: season five is not the first time Madrigal's been mentioned. Actress Betsy Brandt, who stars on "Breaking Bad" as Walt's sister-in-law Marie, asked Gilligan during the interview when he first planned to introduce a German element to the crystal meth saga.

"There is a [season three] Easter egg, in all seriousness, if you watch very closely," Gilligan answered, referring to the episode "Kafkaesque." "In the teaser, that first opening sequence of the episode, we created a Pollos Hermanos commercial. We created a commercial for Gus' empire. If you look very closely at the end of the commercial, there's a tiny bit of legalese that says 'copyright Madrigal Electromotive GmbH.' It's there, going back two seasons.'"

"I didn't even know that," a visibly impressed Dean Norris (who plays Marie's DEA husband Hank) said upon learning of the twist. His on-screen wife was even more stunned. "Oh my god," she gushed. "Vince Gilligan, you are a genius!"

i like breaking bad a lot. well written, well directed and well acted. i don't think it's the best show since the wire (which for me is the best show ever on all fronts), but it is pretty damn good.

Enjoying the build-up in season 5 so far. I'm glad they kept Mike around. Great character.
    IMO always implied.
