Two items.
Firstly, I was addressing an issue of plagiarism when I found out about it with a certain story that I won't mention. As I was doing that, I started to assess whether I'd ever done anything I would consider plagiarism. And while I can't say I've really even come close to doing so teechnically, I still like to give credit when one deserves it even in the slightest. So I wanna acknowledge here that I got inspired to develop a Furling military rank for my Tauri-Furling series, Phylae commanding a Phylang of slightly over 6000 soldiers, when I read your Golden Dawn quite a while ago and noticed you had the rank of Legate who commands a Legion. I know that you didn't invent the rank, but you did standardize the command strucure of always 5000 legionnaires to a legion always. Anyways, I wouldn't have thought of making the semi-general-officer rank if you hadn't done that, so I credit you with that. Here is its relative rank below.
Furling Unified Republic Terrestrial Enagagement Service (TES) General and Semi-General Officer Lowest to Highest:
Phylae
Quarternary General
Tertiary General
Secondary General
Primary General
Marshal
High Marshal
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Secondly, I wanted to write a scene in which Il'ras, the Furling Republic's High Consul (got the name Consul from my imagined older Alterran politcal position) is meeting with Amann to resolve a dispute and they're practicing some really hardball politik. Il'ras used to be the Supreme Warfare Officer (equiv of US Chairman of Joint Chiefs) and he's considered one of the greatest of the great Furling warriors, so he's got a very courageous personality too and can be equally abrasive in respone to Amann being abrasive. I just wanted to share this and will not ever even publish of course unless you approve. Will share in next post.
