Yes, hell seems to be starting to freeze over ...details of Mr Shanks' intention to join the Twitterverse are now up at MSOL.....don't all stampede the bloke as he hasn't actually tweeted anything yet, but keep your eyes peeled and see what little gems he can delight us all with...

Although I think he was a bit shocked at the explosion of tweets and the speed of new followers joining....

He's handling himself awesomely so far....he's following The Hewlett, which should be great and a few others...he's recc'ing following people, retweeting and generally trying to reply to lots of random fans' tweets....


I'm expecting some sort of "burn out" by the end of the week though....seen them all do that!!....and then things can settle down into a nice bit of quiet fangirling and following...

Wait... So Michael Shanks took control over his own account? I thought he created a new one. Guess it's lucky of him to have that for so long, who knew the trouble he would of gone through had he joined Twitter without having an established account.

The account was the official MSOL one which was handed over to him by them with prior arrangement as soon as he was ready to begin tweeting....when it was first started he had always said that he would never tweet........he has since changed his mind, and the account was made ready for him to use...

While I have to say that I personally am getting chuckles out of his comments I think that some people who don't 'get' the Canadian/British dry/sarcastic wit could quite likely start taking some of the stuff he's saying the wrong way...altho it's not that he isn't meaning stuff the way he's saying it, it's that they won't find any humour in it.

I nearly fell of my chair laughing so hard when he answered the "Newfoundland" question....and NO I'm not posting it here on this PG forum...am sure people can go back and find it for themselves if they are so inclined....but I thought it was hilarious...

Also loved that he got tweeted and welcomed by Amanda, and the promptly replied by asking her what she'd brought him back from Disneyland!!...and he called her "doll"..love it!

He has gained many followers and great kudos for his retweets and replying to so many fans....he will now also be giving you regular Canuck's-eye views on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but I warn you, in his own words "get the kids to bed" before you read 'em!...


Oh and his exchanges with Lexa are hilarious, but also fairly non-PG....I truly think this guy has taken to Twitter just like an ordinary fan...if he did join it purely to self-promote himself and/or Saving Hope, he soon gave up that idea and got totally wrapped up in the fun of it like the rest of us!..

I think Twitter exploded overnight....the Daniel Thunk Thread already has the photo....that's what a topless Michael Shanks does to a few!!..


Also a big battle royal going on between him and Lexa again.....they have got to be the most approachable family on Twitter in a long time!...so loving the way they interact with their fans too....I've not seen a star answer and/or reply to so many people in a long time....

I think Twitter has been a very good thing for Mr Shanks!..
