On topic...
What I would love to see is a sci-fi or sci-fi/fantasy novel/literature section. Personally I'm always looking to find more good books to read and what better way to learn of a new book but from a fellow sci-fi fan. I think a place like Gate World with it's multitude of sci-fi fans could bring up some awesome discussion of science fiction books. Just a general section and then threads would be made for particular books as people want to talk about them!

Plus it would give people something more to talk about if sci-fi television is lacking and might increase activity who knows.

It has an emphasis on sci-fi and a lesser emphasis on fantasy.

Buffyverse I could see but I can't imagine there would be too many big fans of Charmed here. But I could be wrong. Buffy for sure should be in an archived folder.

Personally I wish some general television had their own folders but I understand this is a sci-fi site.

I'm kind of surprised that more dead shows haven't moved into the archive folder already... Add one folder, move two others into it....net change there was only -1 from the overall tree. There's a lot of finished/ended shows and franchises in the tree that could be moved to simplify the main forum tree layout.

More will be moved between now and the fall premiere season, I think. My criteria were (1) whether the show is in active production, or (2) whether there were recent, active conversations still happening in the folder. Both good reasons not to archive.

If GateWorld wants to expand into fantasy a Lord of the Rings thread would be nice. I personally would like to see the forum expand into video games PC and console since a lot of good Sci-fi/fantasy games are in that category obviously there are a lot of gaming forums, but I wouldn't mind seeing something here on Gateworld.

I'd vote for the gaming folder as I'm an avid gamer.

There are already LOTR threads on GW under the Gen Sci-fi and Fantasy folder. You just have to search for them as there isn't a big demand to discuss the trilogy anymore. But on the very first page is an active thread for The Hobbit.

Yes, but there are numerous threads talking about upcoming superhero films and some other threads related to comics. I think it would be nice to have one focused area for them. But I suppose it isn't completely necessary.
