I have bought the platinum for Melbourne and a VIP for Perth along with dinner with Robin Dunne. They have 3 guests dinner tickets for Perth listed. Robin Dunne, Colin Ferguson and Teryl Rothery. Looks like it will be a great line up.

Im holding off on 2013 its a year away and there should be more guests annouced later on this year (probably go platinum again but need a couple more to justify it). Havent decided on Armageddon yet (since they arent announcing anything til July so its kinda close for hotels and flights) as not yet inspiredby their B5 only plus one other guest list as yet.
Would love to go to melb comic con but need one or two more guests that I want to meet before changing from probably not to actualyl deciding to go (since that also involves flights, hotel, etc let alone a ticket). Still wondering which Melb event Sean patrick Flannery was referring to in that sorry adelaide video at the very end (since he wasn available for the oz cc melb one originally but made me wonder about guests for armageddon)
Its great that we can still get some really good guests to come to Oz. I hope that some international fans will attend also. Get to see Australia while they are here.![]()

B5 refers to Babylon 5. From the Armageddon Expo site: "From Babylon 5 we will have a number of actors and creators including Bruce Boxleitner, Mira Furlan, Patricia Tallman, Claudia Christian and series creator J M Straczynski."
I never saw the show, so that doesn't interest me. I'm hoping for some Stargate guests.
i saw a bit of the show but i didn't really get into it.
i am hoping for Stargate guests too. maybe some Buffy, Angel, TSCC or other Firefly guests.
i am so addicted to conventions. i've only been to two but i am planning on going to Supanova in November in Adelaide (my home town) and possibly to Armageddon in October too.

Yes babylon 5 I did watch the show but it was so long ago and since we saw I think patricia tallman in Adelaide last year too it seems a lot of guests from teh one show (I think the organiser is a fan but 5 all at once?). Yes hoping on some more Stargate fans was hoping theyd say something like last year andmention a few Stargate ones (not universe the other two). Not sure on Supernova yet as their tickets semed pricy and they only have a couple of torchwood guests mentioned so far - hoping they get more though as that weekend works that I can go.
Juts be nice to know if they are getting any Stargate actors (including Sean Patrick Flannery who metioned melb in his 'sorry Adelaide' video yet wasnt available for the Melb Oz CC earlier which was why he and Norman reedus were listed for Adelaide). And again I usually go over to melb for the races that weekend so woudl work but the hotels have to be booked early as heaps of stuff is on in Oct in melb.
Sean Patrick Flannery is a minor character on Stargate SG-1. i'm not really a fan of Norman Reedus & Patricia Tallman from Babylon 5 i'm not really a fan of either.
there needs to be Stargate SG-1/Stargate Atlantis guests or others from the shows i mentioned above to change from me maybe going to me definetly going to OzComicCon.
i am definetly going to Supanova in Adelaide.

It's been a while since i've been on here, but had to drop by to say I had an absolute ball at Adelaide Comic-Con. So much so that i've decided what the hell i'm going to do Melbourne also.
I worked at the convention but also managed to get pics and Autographs with all the stars, did some shopping at the booths as well as attend some of the panels that I was looking forward too. I also went to both the Dinner and the Aftermath party.
I was a little disappointed on the venue setting for the dinners, it was too loud and they would have been better with round tables than long ones and somehow some of the tables got over booked but the stars were great and very accommodating, I also got to chat and laugh with the bodyguard he was great too lol but the Aftermath party that the Gift for The Geek guys put on was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend that to anyone considering the Melbourne one!
The actors were great, so lovely...Sean Astin and Norman Reedus were a riot, very laid back and use to the convention setting. I got to speak with Gigi for about half an hour, she was lovely and full of great inspiration and advice. Ben...and his god awful porn stash was lovely, quite a sense of humor on him too. Jewel was a gem, I felt incredibly short standing next to her (though thanks to Sean Astin I learned i am shorter than a hobbit lol) and I just wanted to squeeze both Corin and Matt, they are gorgeous and were so accommodating at the Aftermath.
I probably spent waaay to much money over the entire weekend but don't regret it in the least, it had been a while since my last convention but I've definitely got a taste for them again. I'v even decided to totally geek out and dress up (provided my outfit arrives in time) for the next convention. I can't wait!
i spent a lot of money too lol. but it was so worth it
i am thinking about cosplaying too. but i can't decide on what to go as. i am a very tall guy so it would have to be something that fits my stature. i was thinking maybe a Wraith from SG:A but the costume pieces to make a full outfut are very expensive. or perhaps a jaffa warrior or maybe a marine on an SG team. i have plenty of time to get a costume ready but i don't know what to go as besides those.
i'll prolly just end up wearing one of my sci-fi t-shirts. i don't know really i'll have to think on it some more.
Can't wait for the Melbourne con, even if i am staying at Torquay.![]()

I wasn't planning to go to Melbourne for Oz Comic Con, but they just announced Jason Mamoa.
So now there's Colin Cunningham, Corin Nemec, Mitch Pileggi and Ryan Robbins.
And Jason!
So now I'm suddenly seriously thinking about it...
Turncoat Studios posted this on Sunday:-
"Just a quick update to those who ordered an Oz Comic Con Adelaide 2012 DVD. The DVDs will be shipping out as early as Monday. We hope you enjoy it and thank you for your ongoing support."
So i'm guessing we should receive it very shortly.
I hope that's not due to accommodation being booked out...I haven't even looked into that yet, though i'm pretty sure Melbourne is loaded with hotels! Torquay's only about an hour and a half away right? Not too bad, I use to travel similar distance from Newcastle to Sydney...a little tiring but sooo worth it!
I was excited to hear Jason is attending. Another Stargate actor I haven't previously met.

Seriosly!!!You are closer than i am! You could probably walk there! So long as you start now

Staying at Torquay as it is cheaper for me. Even with the cost of fuel. I am hoping it is only about an hour and half away. I've got all my google maps all lined up in a row and a friend of mine recently attended a conference at the same venue as Oz Comic Con and she gave me some hints and tips on where to park, where to eat etc.
I haven't met Jason at a con yet, but when i went to the save Carson rally, he was there. He came outside the studio and chatted to us for ages. All the others were wimps and stayed behind the fence! They were all great really. David Hewlett and Rachael Lutterell were chatting and signing autographs and even Mars came out to say hello, although i think he was just interested in what David was doing.
I was sad to have missed Vancouver this year but now i am getting very excited about Melbourne. I even booked a ticket for the stargate dinner. Colin and Corin! Cool! Maybe Jason will join them.

Haha, yeah, Adelaide is pretty close to Melbourne, but by the time I add the cost of flights, accommodation, and all of the autographs and photos that I'll want, it adds up. And I'm saving for my US trip later this year (I'm going to Dragon*Con and to the Creation Convention in Chicago) so I probably *shouldn't* go. That said, I have a feeling I'll give in to temptation soon, and go anyway! I'm sure that I'll regret it if I don't.
Has anyone received their DVD yet? I got mine in the mail last week and two of the three dvd's won't play properly. The Norman Reedus Panel shuts off 5mins into it and tells me the disc cannot play, I've also had the same with the Gigi Edgely panel and the Farscape panel. I've watched Ben Browder's and Sean Astin's Panel and so far they work, but it's very disappointing that I can't watch all of them after all this wait. I will have to contact Oz Comic-Con and find out about getting them replaced. One of my friends on Twitter mentioned the same thing happening to hers the other week, so I'm wondering if it's the same for everyone or were we just two unlucky ones.
