    Sam I miss Sam Carter!

Sam Carter was one of the greatest female characters ever created. She was a brilliant woman with a beautiful soul.

Do you miss her as much as I do?

Here are five things I miss:

    1. I miss watching Sam come up with brilliant/crazy last minute ideas to save her team, the planet, and a galaxy or three.

    2. I miss Sam and Daniel doing their thing, where no one else knows quite what they're talking about but they get each other instinctively.

    3. I miss Sam laughing at Jack's stupid jokes (she's always indulging his childish side).

    4. I miss Sam teasing Teal'c ("Indeed"); she's the only one who can.

    5. I miss Sam's technobabble. I don't get it either, but she's so happy when she does it.

Yes, I agree with everything you said Sam was such a great role model, she was smart and could hold her own in a male dominated field, and for a scifi show she didn't have to wear the inappropriate sexy outfits.

i also loved that sam was so approachable and relatable. she's someone i'd want to spend time around, be friends with. as smart and confident (in her field) as she was, there was also this vulnerability that was so appealing, so sweet that you'd want to hug her to life.

She and Elizabeth Weir tie as my favorite female Stargate characters. I didn't like that she lost team leadership to the inexperienced Cameron Mitchell in Season 9. However, her command of Atlantis and later the George Hammond more than made up for that.

Tapping actually understood the technobabble, which is what I miss. Most actors memorise the speeches.

I like that she was a leader you could both trust and like.

She took charge when necessary but she also let everyone use their strengths. She didn't have to be the big hero all the time.

I think Sam would enjoy anything she gets to put together, take apart, or figure out!

Although, Sam can probably take things apart and put them back together that I would never dare mess with.

i agree i love that she seemed to understand her lines as it made her character feel more real.

as for what she would have liked for christmas i reckon a new motorbike to take apart and put back together better than before.

The best written female character on trek ever.

That's what I like about it too. Being so brilliant could be obnoxious, but she does it in a loveable way.

So what is your favorite Sam episode?

I'm not sure of my absolute favorite. I like the early ones like Singularity and In the Line of Duty when she's still learning about herself and finding out how strong she really is. But then the later ones that really stretch her and force her to face her weaknesses are great too like Death Knell and Gemini.

She really had a gentle grace about her. She was brilliant but never overbearing.

    Yes! This!

I love that Sam could be a sexy woman in combat boots and attire actually appropriate for her profession.

I would love to be Sam's friend. I think she would be very generous and encouraging. She was so self efacing and kind. It would be easy to be with her and forget she's the most intelligent woman on the planet and she could kill you with her bare hands. That would be a great friend to have around.

    episodeS?

emancipation, broca divide, solitudes, in the line of duty, tokra pt 1 and 2, a matter of time, jolinar's memories, the devil you know, foothold, entity (fave all-time ep), ascension, desperate measures, nightwalkers, grace, death knell, new order pt 1/2, gemini, threads, line in the sand, and the road not taken.

but then there's a boatload of eps that have some awesome sam scenes in them, AND, a bunch of eps that i love as an s/j shipper. but going just by sam eps, ^
