Did Jello kill Stargate Universe ?

SGU had some of the worst food of any show in TV history. Does anyone think this played a role in cancellation ?

Ugh! I think it would definitely be the lack of blue Jello. There was a reason SG-1 and SGA showed it from time-to-time.

Ewww....celery flavor? GAH.........*tires to squelch gag reflex* Once when I was in the hospital and on a liquid diet, they brought me cream of celery soup! Oh the horror.....

Curiosity got the better of me when I saw the thread title and I had to look.

These savory flavors have since been discontinued.

I have an old church cookbook which had recipes for such things as "Pea and cheese mold for 50" and "Cabbage mold for 100". Yes, what people are really clamoring for is cabbage trapped in gelatin. I had never had the... privilege... of trying these recipes. But they either called for plain gelatin, or for one of the fruit jellos. For some reason, people seem to choose lime jello for their unnatural creations. I never knew they made savory Jello.

Come to think of it, there sure was alot of Jello shown in the mess hall and various sets at Stargate Command...

But as it is very cheap and colorful, it was an easy/cheap way to show food without blowing the budget. Probably was alot of plastic chicken and hamburgers also...
