Well I was going to buy Burn Notice season 5 but the pre-order price jumped up 10 bucks...So I guess I'll wait.

I think they are pretty reasonable on Amazon right now. If not I'm sure you could pick up all of them for a decent price used.

I would just wait for the final box set after season 8+ is over with (last I heard he was under contract for at least 8 seasons).

I haven't heard anything of the sort...

Last I heard it is only renewed up to the upcoming season. It might get another but it looks like viewers are jumping ship.

Granted it is old news from 2009 but it is common for actors to add a year or more to a contract when they get a raise (and some raises are retroactive so they get a big check for work done). And just because they are under contract doesn't mean the show will stay on air.

As to how many years the show is profitable to make, who knows. Ratings are important but even decently rated shows get canceled if they cost too much (and not so great shows are kept if they are cheap enough).

That's actually probably what I'll do because I want it all on BluRay.

The complete box sets are just cheaper, and by the end of the show you have a pretty good idea if you liked it enough to have a complete set. If I bothered to buy anything it would be the whole show or nothing.

I can understand that logic but I don't necessarily abide by it.
